Everytime i go in there i order the same thing, cranberry and turkey sandwich on wheat. I've been here many times, as it's right around the corner from my apartment. I figure, if you really, really like something there is no need to try anything else. I'm happy with it. Everyone keeps talking about Theos at night. There must be another location because this one closes at 6pm. I'd say not being open very late is the one thing I'm not thrilled with. I recommend if yr on this side of town.

Scale of 1 -5 (1 being worst rating - 5 being the best rate) Atmosphere: 4 (Quiet and uninterrupted dining.) Cleanliness: 5 (Well kept and orderly. No signs of roaches so that is a plus.) Menu: 5 (Great selection, with a great choice of sides.) Service: 5 (Friendly staff and expedient service, but does not sacrifice quality over timely delivery. Staff brings food to you.) Sustain: Great menu items and custom recipes that pack a flavorful punch. Improve: Nothing really to say here. Maybe have a selection of sauces i.e. Tabasco available. Unique: Interior design fits this burger joints product and marketing point. Gourmet buns provide a great flavor to your burger. Fail: N/A

I went to Theo's last Wednesday and ordered the Turkey Avacado. The cashier asked lots of questions, fries, wheat or white, for here or to go and then accepted my $20 bill. When handing me change, he said, "Your order will be right up." I asked for a receipt. "Uh, a receipt? Yea, here ya go." The receipt said I gave him a $10 bill. My change was only $1 and change. "Didn't i give you a twenty?" I asked. "Can you tell?" was his response. "Yes, I had no tens." He gave me $10 out of the drawer and sheepishly said, "sorry about that." The food was great. I advise you to pay with a credit card.

I decided to try Theo's after having saved to Maps for some time. A craving for sandwiches as well as a desire to go somewhere new is what got me in finally; I'm very glad that I went. I went later, around 8 or so, on a Saturday and was happy to see that it wasn't packed as I wanted to get food fast. The staff was very friendly there and prepared the food very quickly. The kitchen is immediately behind the counter so you can easily see your food being prepared. Despite the space being rather small there was plenty of seating and it didn't feel crowded. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The whole wheat bread was incredibly soft and flavorful on my sandwich, and everything looked nice as well as well prepared. The fries were very tasty too; the must be cooked fresh as they still had a slight potato taste that you don't get with frozen fries. The potato salad was also quite good, though I think next time I'll stick with the fries as they were just that good. Overall, the restaurant was clean and well put together and the food very enjoyable. If you are looking for a good sandwich shop, I would definitely recommend this one.

Best food in Portland only problem I had is when I went earlier in the day and they weren't making fries yet.

Great food and great people. I come here at least once a week and recommend it to everyone I know. Best burgers and phillies in Portland. Some people don't understand this isn't mcfood its made to order while it does take five minutes or so. I've never seen it take fifteen minutes. People need to check their watch before writing a review.

I used to eat here all the time the food was great, but tonight my cheese steak came with a side of GUM! I'm not kidding, there was used gum on my plate WTF I didn't even bother complaining I just left. Absolutely disgusting, just gross and deeply disturbing. This was without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I will never be going back. They are lucky I didn't call the health department on them.

Theo's hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
