Thanks to Harris County Archivist, Sarah Canby-Jackson & UH-Clear Lake archivist Lauren Meyers many of the items contained in the Clear Lake Theater time capsule that evidently sat soaking in water for many years will be saved. Check out the Flickr album: http://bit.ly/1NFfxvP
On April 20, 1966, a time capsule was buried at the new Clear Lake Theatre during its grand opening. The contents of the capsule were to be opened 50 years to the day and given to Freeman Library. This album provides information and images from the day of the capsule's burial, April 20, 1966, as well as its removal, April 20, 2016.
