I've been servicing my vehicle here for 5+ years and there's a reason for it: they are great to work with. Recently I moved to Dallas but I still make the 45 mile trip to come back to this location because they've always been a pleasure to work with and have been honest in their assessments. I never have to worry about being taken advantage of and their prices are fair and competitive. The waiting room is comfortable to be in, christian music is always playing, and they offer free sodas. They've got my loyalty! Give 'em a try.

I recently had occurrence to interact with Christian Brothers Automotive over my Ford F150. They did a great job of repairing my truck. They did it all in one day, I had it taken to them overnight. They got it in early the next morning and out that afternoon. They went out of their way to contact me and keep me in the loop. No surprises and the cost was dead-on to the estimate. My truck is running better than ever, and I would highly recommend them. Great job, guys!

Unfortunately they quoted me $990 for work on my car. I got it done at a different place in Joshua for $375. The EXACT same work... Way too expensive. UPDATE- went back for another quote on different work a few months later. This time they did NOT inform me of the charge of a diagnostic. When I went to pick up the car, they told me it was $90 for them just to see what was wrong. I was not informed of this charge upfront. Slimy people trying to get your money. not so "christian"....

Rachel, thanks for your feedback. I apologize that the quote or estimate you received was high. Usually when we give an estimate at the counter without looking at the vehicle we will quote a worse case scenario so that there aren't any surprises if you choose to do the work with us. Also when there is huge variance in price like you are stating I would be skeptical about it being the EXACT same quality parts that we use. Sometimes less is not the best.

All they were supposed to do was set the timing on my daughter's car. What they did was over $1200 damage to the motor by running it with no water or coolant in it. Then lied through their teeth about what they did. BEWARE! THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. NEED TO CHANGE THEIR NAME FOR SURE.
Response from the owner - 3 weeks ago
Thanks for your feedback Mr. Pierce . When you brought the car to us in 2010 it was in pieces, fluids completely drained, and was not running. We finished a job that someone else had started. This damage was most likely done when the water pump went out initially. Someone had already attempted to put a water pump on but could not set the timing. We agreed to help you get it running with the parts you had supplied and that's what we did. Our intentions where to help you get your daughters car back on the road. It is unfortunate this happened.

My wife got new tires on her car and needed an alignment. I decided to try Christian Brothers. I was very impressed in my dealings with James at the front counter, and he gave me a discount off my alignment for purchasing tires at Discount Tire. A few months later, I decided to have Christian Brothers replace my leaking valve-cover gaskets on my truck, replace my tie-rod ends, and align my new tires. Again, I was impressed with James' and the mechanic's attentiveness. Fast forward a couple of months...my truck would not start as I tried to leave my office. Plenty of juice to turn the starter over, but the engine would not fire up. I was too far away to tow the truck to Christian Brothers, so I towed it down the street to a local mechanic. A week later he called me and told me he suspected the computer was bad, but was not positive due to the various symptoms he kept encountering. He did not want to guess at the problem, (and he did not charge me any money since he did not fix anything!),so he told me to take the truck to the Toyota dealership and let them identify the exact problem. I towed my truck to a Toyota dealership and they had my truck diagnosed the next day. The very first thing the Toyota Service manager asked me was, "Has your intake manifold been removed recently?" I told him it had been removed two months before to have the valve-cover gaskets replaced. He told me that the ground wires to the computer had not been bolted back onto the intake manifold like they were supposed to. They had gotten squashed under the intake manifold, were grounding out for the couple of months the truck was running, but then worked loose of the grounded position and would intermittently ground out. Toyota fixed the problem (which cost more than the original charge from Christian Brothers to replace the valve cover gaskets) and I went back to Christian Brothers, with the Toyota repair ticket in hand. I did not have much faith that Christian Brothers would admit to making a mistake like that, much less reimburse me the amount Toyota charged me to fix the problem. When I explained the situation to James, he was very polite and immediately brought a manager, Steven, up to speak with me. Steven asked me what I thought was fair to remedy the situation. I told him the reimbursement of the Toyota repair cost would be fair. He told me he did not have the authorization to make that decision, but he would explain the situation to the owner and let him decide what to do. I received a call from Steven a couple of hours later telling me that he had a check ready for me to pick up for the full amount of the Toyota repair bill. WOW!!! When I picked up the check, they were apologetic for the mistake and for the distress it caused me. They admitted that mistakes happen occasionally, but they strive to do all they can to correct the mistakes and make things right with the customer. They took the high road on this situation, as they could have very easily avoided taking responsibility for my problem. I am VERY impressed with Christian Brothers Automotive in Burleson, Texas, and highly recommend them to service your vehicle needs. Michael McCorkle.

"Christian" Brothers Automotive In Burleson Wanted $900 to replace my heater core. After reading Google reviews I decided to get a second opinion. Low and Behold $150 later my heat is working wonderfully with no core replacement necessary. Don't even waste your money on the diagnostic fee just to get told more accurate information when you go get the second opinion and if you do go against what many Google users have said and go with "Christian" Brothers I HIGHLY recommend a second opinion. It is very Christian of you to take advantage of all your customers. I understand mechanics are notorious for this but this establishment takes it to the next level. I will never recommend this place to anyone. nor will I ever return there.

I will NEVER take anything to this place again. Took my truck in because it was leaking anti freeze, they put a heater core in it for $300. That did NOT fix the problem so i took it back. They said my intake manifold gasket was leaking and wanted to charge me over $500 to fix it after i already paid $300 for NO REASON AT ALL.. And would not work with me on the price even though they did not diagnose the right problem in the first place. On top of that the manager was extremely rude with me, probably because he knew he was wrong. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!

Thanks for your feedback Mr. McCarthy. I apologize this happened to your vehicle. When you first came in to our shop you stated that your heater core was leaking and wanted it replaced. We offered to perform a pressure test and you declined because you said it was obvious that the heater core was leaking. We did verify that it was indeed leaking before we replaced it. A few days later when you came back it had a coolant leak at the intake manifold. However, it is not uncommon for new leaks form after repairing a large leak in the cooling system especially on high mileage older vehicles. Its kind of like an old garden hose, you don't see all the small leaks until you put your thumb over the hole at the end of the hose. We also offered to fix your intake manifold at a reduced price due to this unfortunate incident.

They aren't very honest people to work with. Took my car in because the check engine light was on. The called me back to make me aware of the charges. When I couldn't afford it they still charged me $90 for the diagnostic, which they didn't make me aware of upfront. Paid $90 to have no work done on my car. They even admitted mistake and apologized for not telling me upfront, but would not waive the charge.

Thanks for your feedback Mr. Jordan. I apologize about the misunderstanding. When you checked your vehicle in you stated that it had an evaporative leak and at that time we explained to you that we would need to perform a smoke test to determine where the evaporative leak was coming from. Working on Mini Coopers require special equipment and training. The diagnostic fee pays for the qualified ASE technicians time that he spent finding the problem on your vehicle. I know that Mini Cooper charges more than $90 to diagnose things of this nature. Again we are truly sorry for the misunderstanding and we would never try to deceive anyone.
