I'm launching a new website today: Genealogy Gophers https://www.gengophers.com. Free, ad-supported search of 40,000 genealogy books. It's been a lot of fun to create this site! I even found some stories of my own ancestors in it smile emoticon

I started working on a go (golang) SDK for FamilySearch: https://github.com/rootsdev/gofamilysearch

Can you help me find a web/game designer for some contract work?

I'm working on a mobile app to re-imagine family history for youth and young adults and I'm looking for a UI designer to do some contract work. The goal is to make family history fun - like a game. The work is from 5-15 hours a week for several months. If you know someone like this (or if you are interested yourself) would you please contact me? Pay depends upon experience but I'm willing to pay what's necessary to get a top-notch designer.

Thanks

I attended ng-conf 2014 last week, the first ever AngularJS conference. Here's the AngularJS core team from Google. They are awesome!

I've never heard a more honest talk about the challenges associated with a successful open-source project along with an exploration of ideas for dealing with them. I recommend this talk to anyone who is thinking about starting an open-source project:

Igor Minar - Angular === Community (Keynote) - NG-Conf 2014

Here's a link to the google form that Igor is asking potential contributors to fill out. (I added my name.)

The proposed Stack Exchange Q&A website for genealogy needs at least 100 people with at least 200 reputation other Stack Exchange websites to commit to it. If you're interested in genealogy and have more than 200 reputation on StackOverflow or another Stack Exchange website, please help!
