I'm happy to announce stable releases Nuvola Player 1.1.0 and 2.0.0 that bring new features, enhancements and bug fixes. More information is available in release notes [1][2]. The series 2.0.x is intended for systems with GTK+ >= 3.4 (e.g. Debian 7.0 Wheezy and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin). The series 1.1.x is for older systems and will be supported until April 2013.

+Josh Holland Stable build for Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal QuetzaI should be available within a few days after stable release of U12.10.

I tried the ppa and it said there were no packages and gave me a 404 error

is there any special method required to show the tray icon?
i'm using Ubuntu 12.04.

+Rumos Mok try Service > Settings > Extensions and see if the extension is enabled ... anyway, there should be a "quick control panel type of menu" by clicking on the sound symbol in your task bar too
