I was reading Buzz archives tonight, and it's deeply depressing. That was a good thing we all had going there, and it went on for long enough that I maybe took its continuation for granted.
I'm sure we both have a lot of conflicting thoughts on what worked well or didn't and why.
Another thing that bothers me about the nudity provision in the terms is that it doesn't trust whatever little fledgling community that might try to assert itself in Plus to just watchdog itself. Decent people are capable of calling one another out through dialog. If you're juvenile or sexually unsophisticated that's fine; your community will tolerate you comfortably and normal people can ignore you.
Is that really naive? I guess there's no reason you can't just avail yourself of any of the myriad less policed services available and just feed that into Plus when and if you're inclined to.
I wonder if there's a paranoia about what shows up in the What's Hot feed. It seems pretty likely that a more open policy would send some gutter trash content right on in there.
