“G.H. Hat is an exemplary master of subtlety on “Primal” ...I’m probably onto my second hour straight listening to this track…it’s been the most fitting soundtrack to the late-night hours here at sleepingbagstudios. There are no windows in the studio itself…and in between when I started listening to “Primal” and now, dark will have changed to light outside…it’s morning now. Couldn’t have passed the time with a better tune; it’s eerie, it’s groovy, it’s hypnotic and charismatic in its own subtle way. With its solid rhythm and spot-on production…I have every reason to believe this track will pull you in and keep you listening just like it did with me…you can really get lost into the enveloping sounds of “Primal” – and that’s a great thing.”
Jer - Sleeping Bag Studios

“The track is put together rather amazingly. ...the listener’s verdict on this track will most probably be summed up in only one word – Stunning! On this track G.H. Hat taps deep into the swollen heart of primal beat-based music and the best thing about this song is that it will not show age easily. At a time when EDM fads change overnight – what’s new today is gone tomorrow – G.H. Hat captures the cutting edge of trip hop and gives it his own personal flavor.”

“There’s a misconception that EDM – electronic dance music – should be mindless. As long as it gets people moving on the dance floor, it works, right? Wrong. EDM, like any other music genre, is best approached in a compelling, artistic way. It shouldn’t be a slog through trope-driven production. ‘Primal’ is an excellent example of a EDM production gone right. Its varied musical styles are actually compelling to dig into; you don’t necessarily have to be on the dance floor to enjoy them.”
