I see how you are bottom filling the tanks and that's fine, but what about air trapped in the tops of the extra tanks? That air will stop water from coming in unless you vent it.... and your vent needs to be above the level of your Tee used for the overflow. Like your ideas though. I'm filling my tanks from the bottom common run too.
For my vent all I have done is loosen the caps on the tank. Almost all the water is diverted to the overflow pipe once the tanks are fullI, a small amount of water will drain out of the caps. I do not mind it, however some may.
