Oh my goodness, another excellent San Francisco staple. The wood oven scent in the restaurant is so welcoming and the food is "beyond". Very sexy place to eat or meet up for a drink. Zuni opened in 1979. They have an ex-Chez Panisse co-owner today. "Gilbert Pilgram joined Zuni Café as a co-owner in 2006. He spent the prior two decades as one of Zuni's most devoted customers while working at Chez Panisse as a cook, chef, general manager, and partner."

This place is a terrible joke with 'tude to spare. Hit the Brazilian joint around the corner and spare yourself the wait and sticker shock.

More than worth the expense. Exemplary classic American cuisine of the Northern CA variety cooked perfectly. Try the chicken and the spaetzel. Nice bar, fills up quickly and gets crowded but not too much. Nice space.

Meh. That is the word I'd use to describe my experience at Zuni. The restaurant is beautiful, and we had a great table on the second floor near the window. We ordered the seemingly everyone else in the restaurant! No joke that thing does take a full hour, but it is so big we didn't want to order an appetizer so it was kind of awkward having to wait until 9:20pm to eat something (dinner reservation at 8pm). The chicken was good and moist....but didn't blow me away. Our waiter was fine, not exceptional service. All in all the $150 price tag for dinner for two (chicken, bottle of wine, one dessert) was not worth it.

It's a classic in SF, best burgers and if you have time order the whole chicken for two. Great place, delicious fries and favorite spot for brunch.

Foods are a little bit pricey but it's worth it. We did eat all of our foods. Me and my friends had a satisfying lunch in this place. 'Til next time!
