My thoughts exactly.

#Paranoia regarding futuristic technology, sounds familiar. It is wise to condemn the paranoia. I seem to remember someone criticising Hawking-Musk and others regarding their paranoid AI fears.

On this occasion the issue is #drones - the New York Times reported (12 Feb 2015). The New York Times stated the the problem is us (not me I should add). Here are two good excerpts from the article.

"Crime is historically low, and yet for many citizens, an inchoate fear of crime is as strong as ever."

"It is easy to suspect that our reaction to drones is simply the Luddite’s fright when confronted with technical novelty, but it’s not quite that simple. Drones exist in the unlit parking lot of our imaginations, not only because of their history as agents of civilian deaths abroad but also because of something much closer to home. We increasingly glance at one another through a veil of suspicion, doubt and fear. And yet, the advent of the iPhone eight years ago and the attendant ubiquity of cameras scarcely elicited the kind of fear of misuse that the emergence of drones has. In a Reuters/Ipsos poll released last week, 42 percent of more than 2,000 respondents said they opposed private ownership of drones and expressed concerns about safety and privacy. Yet our privacy is far more vulnerable in the face of surreptitious phone photography or recording than it is to a noisy conspicuous device hovering in plain sight. The problem is not technology. It is, as it always was, us."

Needs to go a little higher 😁

This hoverbike, created by Aerofex, will really be available to purchase in 2017. The bike is able to travel at 72 km/h and can hover up to 3.7 meters off the ground.

Do you think hoverbikes could be a major form of future transportation? http://bit.ly/1iTuxK8

Drone video of dolphins stampede and whales (mommy & baby). Amazing how drone technology changes our view of the natural world.  Captain Dave says at the end of the video the equipment he used to film it.
