Came in hung over after seeing the great reviews. The biscuits and gravy were huge, and while the biscuits themselves were fantastic, the chicken that they add gave the plate an unexpected flavor that I wasn't so sure about. I'll have to come back and try some other dishes, because I think their creative approach might be better recieved on a dish that isn't such a standard for me.

I made reservations during our family (adult) vacation to this restaurant based on the needs of our party (some gluten free, lactose intolerance, vegetarian) so was delighted to find a menu that could serve us all. We arrived and were warmly greeted, the remodeled house is very cute! When we were seated, our table was cramped for 5 of us - pushed into the corner with no way in our out without having the other party members stand up Our server was knowledgable and attentive, and the food was delicious - but the portions were very small compared to other restaurants in the same price range. We were told the small portions on the menu were suitable for sharing, however the protein items were only 1oz, while the large was 3oz with few to no additional items on the plate. My mother and I ordered the watermelon salad as a large to start and share but it was only enough for her. We also shared a large risotto and she had cornbread. I had the large portion of halibut. We as a table also shared the duck sliders. To put this into context, my mother and I are both under 5' and petite, so we don't need a lot of food. For 5 people and a modest bottle of wine ($40) the bill including tip was just shy of $300 - which to me doesn't seem unreasonable except for that we all went back to our rental home and ate dinner a second time.

Eat here. Could only do brunch on this trip, but SO glad I did. We splurged a bit for brunch; very glad we did that, too. Do not miss their version of biscuits and gravy. Best beet & blue cheese salad I've ever had- and we know how mundane this can be. Attention to detail in food is impressive. Reminds me of Franny's in Bklyn.!

This is a great restaurant for a special occasion - or not so special. Great atmosphere. Beautiful little bites of things to eat. And the atmosphere makes you want to linger. Not noisy - you can actually have a conversation with your dining partner. Martha Hines is a culinary genius.

Tilth was beautiful, delicious, and over flowing with warmth from the helpful staff. By choice we dinned outside on the beautiful porch in the first spring evening, also to allow our children a little room to relax. (ages 13 months and 4 years old). We took off one star because the portions were so very small. About half the size of Ponder sushi roll small, about half the size of Ray's, or Purple, Stumbling Goat Bistro, or Smash. My savory apple soup was poured out of a square coffee cream pitcher into my bowl over my scrumptious caramelized onion bite. Our four year old, who had his own sablefish off the adult menu, said he was still hungry after dinner, at the dinner table. I realize it is organic, and delicious, and carefully prepared but meat was about 3oz. We keep reading about brunch. We will come by for brunch because our waiters were so accommodating and kind about us dinning with our little children. I would have liked to pay a bit more and had more standard portions. Great for a date. Great for a holiday.

I went here twice between 2007-2009 and I can say it is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. There are still dishes that I dream about, including parsnips cooked in Blue Moon beer. Because their menu is seasonal, you can't count on certain dishes being on the menu. But you are in excellent hands. The preparation is divine, and they pay close attention to honoring the ingredients rather than over-seasoning. In true Seattle fashion, all the food is locally sourced...and you can taste it! It's definitely a pricey meal, but you cannot miss eating at this amazing restaurant. To tempt you even more, they have a great list of white wines from the Pacific Northwest.

My wife and I have been trying tasting menus at restaurants of famous chefs, so we wanted to try this place. The portions were ultra-tiny. We know tasting menus are not large portions, but the portions here were half of what Morimoto, Jose Garces, and other famous chefs prepare in their tasting menus. We we actually hungry afterwards. The food was good but the flavors were bland. Basically, good but not great in small portions for a high price.
