lengthy but incredibly interesting article. lots of it will be familiar if you've read 'fast food nation' or something similar.

While "best use of an animated GIF" is a stretch (tumblr!) I love this kind of stuff.

How a key works.  That's the best use of an animated GIF that I have ever seen. Now I'm off to my lock-picking class.

Stolen from @danguterman on twitter. I find this really funny even though I deplore the misuse of homonyms....

TIP: A common grammatical mistake is confusing "there" and "thinking strangers want your grammatical advice."

service was mediocre, two of 18 oysters i got were noticeably bad, food was OK but definitely nothing special. incredibly loud inside. ended up quite expensive for average food and wine.

Some of the best sushi in all of NYC. Great ambiance - having been to Tokyo it would fit right in there. Fantastic service. Very small place so go early!

The food is amazing and the offices are beautiful! The views from Hemispheres cafe are better than almost any restaurant in NYC. Very friendly chefs who will share the recipe for anything on the menu.

Had an amazing meal here with an even better wine! Service was great. Had a beautiful walk around the grounds after dinner under starry skies. Martha Stewart was eating there the night we went. Crowd is unfortunately a little douchey and not that fun but the tables are spaced far enough apart where you don't have to overhear the unbearable conversations of other guests.
