Not sure I understand this.

Why do you feel responsible for exceptions raised by other people's code? Not only is this insidious coupling, it's also a road to despair, because you'll never keep up.

If they raise an exception, then things have gone wrong. Crash.

The real problem is that they're raising exceptions and not just returning errors. But that's not your problem. Honest.
