BJ's is a decent bar in the Cerritos area - again, nothing that'll actually impress food-wise that you can't get at any other BJ's but the atmosphere and food is decent enough plus they open until about 1-2AM depending on the night. The favorites here probably include the pizookie, the pizzas and the beer selection. The cost will run you usually about $15-$20 with a decent-sized pizza and drink (plus tack on another few dollars for dessert if you get it). The area itself is not bad - a little dirty sometimes because of how busy it can get. There is a happy hour but it isn't anything too special (a few dollars off of beers and a few food items that are a little cheaper). Again, you can't go too wrong with BJ's if you're looking for a late-night spot around the Cerritos area (which are few and far between). Just don't expect too much.

I love this place and am addicted to the Caprese salad, but the service is SO touch and go - its really the food that brings me back - sometimes we'll have "Superwaiter" and the best dinner ever, then sometimes we'll have Grumpy McEvilson serving. Dear management, please tell your staff that no matter what mood they are in, it is not the customers fault. #smh

This place is HORRIBLE!!! i took my family Sunday, Sept 8 and we waited 30 mins to be seated, waited 15 mins to be waited on the food came and was cold. the waitress came and brought us refills on drinks but dirtied our straws and never brought refills or new cups, we ordered the 2 for 19.95 but the bill came out as individual items so it was 40 and change. i had to ask the waiter to redo.

BIRTHDAY MONTH = BIRTHDAY COUPONS = HAPPY RODNEY Free mini-pizookie. I love BJ's (teehee). BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, cochino! My first time ever at BJ's to claim my free pizookie to go. After contemplating which one to get, I went all in on the white chocolate/macadamia nut. Mmmmmmm, it was so good! The white chocolate/macadamia nut mini-pizookie was the size of a Pepperridge Farm cookie. However, it was warm, moist & gooey happiness, straight from the oven. The proverbial "icing on the cake" was the scoop of cold vanilla ice cream. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of warm & cold, which blended into flavor nirvana when the melting vanilla ice cream passionately embraced the mini-pizookie in perfect coital union. You can't stop true love, my Yelp friends. I was completely satisfied with my sweet treat, and the size was just right for I don't want to overdue it on sugar & fat. Mini = enough for me. I recommend joining BJ's email club to get your free mini-pizookie on your birthday. If not, then can I have yours? ;P NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I have eaten here several times, mainly because other people wanted to... my boss. I have had mostly mediocre experiences. Nothing stellar, food is just ok. Service tends to be slow, but not as bad as Montebello.

We had the worst experience ever last night. When we were seated we were not given any utensils, we waited for 15-20 minutes before a waiter showed up and took our order saying he would be right back with our drinks. One of the hostesses stopped by and dropped off utensils and asked if our drink order was taken. We told her it had and still didn't have our drinks. One of our side salads showed up and no drinks with it. One of the sets of utensils were dirty and we sent it back. When the other appetizer showed up we still had no drinks and the new utensils still had not been brought back. Half way through the start of our appetizers, our waters showed up and the new utensils. 1 1/2 hours later we were told that our food was not sent out by the expediter and that it would be another 6 minutes for a new gluten free pizza to be made. The manager said that our meal was on him and it was not the servers fault. He brought out our meals and later sent us a bill for the appetizers and pazookie. All of this was on a Sunday night. 2 hours for terrible service and a manager that can't keep his word. I'm sure that when you hear the meal is on them, that you don't expect to pay for your food. If I could give them a negative star I would.

My family and I got there at 5:30 on Saturday. Like everyone, we had to wait, especially due to our group, we were six adults and two children, so it turned out to be a 45 minute wait. The table next to ours became vacant and they cleaned it up fast. The manager/supervisor showed up and sat there. I asked if I could sit at that table and snap some pictures of my family, he said sure. Soon after, while he and I sat at that table the party arrived, so I left hastily so they would get their table. After about ten more minutes, I approached him near the cashier and asked if someone could take our order, we had not been offered any assistance. He hurried and had a waiter come and assist us. We fire balled the orders, we ordered all at once, drinks, appetizers, meals, and so on.The individuals next to us ordered sometime after us and guess what, they received their order first! After another fifteen minutes, I again approached the him manager/supervisor and questioned this and why we had not received anything, not even the drinks! I informed him that I had worked in a restaurant and I understood that hospitality was number one for a customer! When the customer didn't get this, there was no reason for them to return! No matter how good the food is or other, hospitality was number one! He hurried and assisted in bringing our orders and apologized. He knew how long we had waited because I was taking pictures at the next table with him next to me! He apologized and stated that he didn't have much to do with the back. As mentioned, I worked in a restaurant, more expensive and classier than BJ's, and I know when an order comes in, they must come out as they go in. The front and the back of the house communicate to make sure that everything is going good, the flow, and there is the expediter working in the front and keeping it as such. What ever happened, I am sure that things like this don't just happen, they are consistent. Needless to say, the experience is something we will always remember, worst thing about it all, the GM or anyone, did not offer to make it right, for example, a discount if you come again or something for the inconvenience, but nothing was done. The bill was nearly two-hundred dollars and a twenty dollar tip was left. They will never see us again and I recommend that you go else place!
