Stayed 2 nights while visiting cedar point and Cleveland. Very nice hotel. Clean lobby and rooms, free coffee and tea in the mornings. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant or pool. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Loved the noon checkout time, we needed it after spending all day the previous day at Cedar point. If we are ever break in the area we will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean. The beds and pillows are comfy not hard. The kids loved the pool. It was a good price too. Just a few minutes from Cedar Point. Staff was friendly as well.

I returned here after a wonderful stay last year. Every reward pergect. This stay. I was very disappointed that the restaurant and lounge were no longer open. It was a deciding factor in choosing where to stay. The rooms were clean, the pool refreshing. Staff friendliness, eh, so-so.

Plenty of spiders and little service. After checking in and getting room keys we went out to eat and to a store quick before actually going into the room. On entering the room the light switches didnt turn on the lights. Once we turned on the lamps there were two spiders on the bed. Upon talking to the desk clerk about a refund he stated that he was unable to contact the manager tonight and could maybe get a refund in the morning. After several minutes the clerk admitted he could call a manager. The manager arrived to state that they were a family owned business and could not afford to have people simply stay for a few hours and leave without paying despite the fact we spent less than 5 minutes in the room. We were eventually given a different room but treated like scam artists for being uncomfortable in the room within minutes of actually entering it.

This place was... OK. Yes the price is cheap for comparable hotels in the area. It's a bit off the strip, and a little bit from Cedar Point, but still a quick easy drive. The thing is though... is yes it's a motel, with outside doors... but the sound proofing is next to non existent! Unfortunately it seemed that we came on the same evening as a prom or some other teenage party night, as one side of the place was full of rowdy kids (and I'm not some crotchety old person I'm 28 so that's saying something) They were playing music from their cars and being overall loud and annoying. We even had the room on the far side tucked in a corner, and it was still unbearably loud. We did call the front desk who must have told them to turn it down as they did... a tiny bit.... The rooms were standard, had a mini fridge, and the beds comfortable. Just the sound throughout the night was a bit much even for the cheap price. Again it is a great price in the area and a decent location, just ask for a room on the outside and you might be better off where you're away from the parking lot/courtyard noise.

I have communicated with almost every hotel in the area, and even did drive by's of the other hotels. SUPER glad we chose South Shore over Knights and major chain competitors. We stayed in the King Suite (not the Deluxe), which is like a King Jacuzzi room. There are TWO rooms with KING SUITES, one is a DELUXE and the other is not. The difference is the Deluxe has a separate jacuzzi tub from the shower, and the non-Deluxe has a HUGE jacuzzi tub/shower combo. The TUB was large enough for two people to lay side by side. If you are 5'6" you will be able to lay in and submerge without popping your feet above the water. The jets are powerful and the water is hot! Room style, bedsheets, and carpet are dated, but, everything was clean, CLEAN. Our only real con was when we drew our room curtains, there was a residential house that both parties could look in and out of. So the room didn't have outside privacy. We didn't get a chance to check out the pool. The main lobby was enchanting. They have the history of the great-grandfather who opened this hotel. The entry way is quiet and quaint. Beautiful chandelier, handrails, and check-in desk were clean and welcoming. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This hotel is located a few miles from Cedar Point. I recommend booking two weeks in advance. Also, I recommend spending the few extra dollars to upgrade to the jacuzzi rooms. I am so pleased to have done business locally rather than stay at a major chain hotel. Looking forward to doing more business at this location.

The grounds are beautiful and well groomed. The room was very clean, not spotless, but fine. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellently located near Cedar Point. Overall, a very happy experience.

Fairly clean, friendly staff. Lobby looks nice but the room we had was a little more run down. Super close to Cedar Point.
