I don't follow any consumer product brands (which is where I assume most of the ads will be from). I use Twitter to follow news sources and nonprofits--which is a lot of the content I post in return--so this doesn't affect me. But I tweet for a small nonprofit, so I'll be keeping an eye out to see if it'll be worth it for us to do a promoted tweet; same as what I'm doing with Facebook ads

Twitter ads are coming to Twitter timelines: Will that affect Google+ usage at all?

I originally thought it might drive people over to (ad-free) G+, but now the reports are that the promoted tweets are only from brands you already follow -- so it's just making something you already subscribe to more visible.

That's a lot more tolerable than I'd previously imagined.

Thoughts?

Oh, good question! I would imagine in some form, yes, because I could imagine businesses NOT using Promoted Tweets if some of their audience wouldn't see the tweets b/c of not using the Twitter website. I actually don't use another app, just the Twitter website b/c I didn't want to figure out something new. Should I switch to Tweetdeck?

"The [Norwegian] system focuses on rehabilitation and restoration, not just punishment and retaliation" and "The lengthy prison sentences received [in the US] … only serve capital interests and a medieval sense of revenge, not a modern, just, and caring society."
Anders Breivik isn't going to jail for 21 years, but he won't be executed either. His countrymen tell us they prefer a less "medieval" punishment.

Did you see this? The drought in Kenya, Somalia, & Ethiopia is the worst in 60 years. 10 million+ people are affected.

In addition to ONE, pay attention to CARE & UNDP [care.org & undp.org] for more info.
