Sledding At Hatcher Pass
Sledding at Hatcher Pass is turning into an annual tradition. This time we got to take my father-in-law. The scenery never gets old but it's still fun to hear someone else ooh and aah over it too. Skiing at Hatcher Pass is a good way to get out of the slush...

Cross-Country Ski To Albert Loop Bridge
A really fun cross-country ski trip out and back to the Albert Loop bridges. The ski out was really fun, all but one of us had taken our skis off by the time we got back to the Nature Center (guess which way is mostly uphill haha!). The trails are so well-u...

Above The Clouds On Mount Baldy
This was an incredible hike up Mount Baldy to watch the sunset while Eagle River and Anchorage were under a blanket of fog. This hike is even better after crews with Chugach State Park have been installing switchbacks. There's a lot less scrambling for the ...

A Pink-Hued Hike To Peters Creek Inlet
An easy hike out to Peters Creek Inlet at sunset. It was beautiful and very, very cold. I love the ice plates left by the rising and falling tide.

Snowy Hike On Lower Baldy
We brought sleds but the snow was just a little too heavy and wet, and the incline just not steep enough to negate that. Still one of our favorite local hikes though!

Foggy Independence Mine
We walked the hillside trail which goes up and over the mine. I'm sure the longer views are amazing when the fog isn't as thick as pea soup haha.

Seward Beachcombing
Just a quick post. We had a whole day planned in Seward but due to a medical emergency (mine, boo, and I'm slowly getting better) we just ended up on the beach. You can tell by the smile that the girls didn't mind. :)
