Prisma photo manipulation app is now out on Android

Prisma, the sensationally popular iOS photo manipulation app that's been second only to Pokémon Go in terms of summer hype, has now arrived on Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neuralprisma). The Google Play Store has been plagued by sketchy knockoffs of this excellent new app, so it's a welcome relief to have the authentic app now up and running. Prisma's makers say they've ported over all the iOS functionality, so there shouldn't be any difference in user experience or capabilities.

Prisma transforms your photos into artworks using the styles of famous artists: Munk, Picasso as well as world famous ornaments and patterns. A unique combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence helps you turn memorable moments into timeless art.

Microsoft Confirms Windows 10 New Monthly Charge

For months Microsoft has been describing Windows 10 “as a service” and now we know why. Microsoft is going to introduce a monthly subscription fee for Windows 10 usage…

That cost will be $7 per user per month but the good news is it only applies to enterprises, for now. The new pricing tier will be called “Windows 10 Enterprise E3” and it means Windows has finally joined Office 365 and Azure as a subscription service.

The good news is Microsoft has gone on record to say it is not being passed down to consumers at this stage.

So no surprise here but many will be wondering about what happens with their consumer edition in future. If there is no "upgrade" cost in future (Window 10 is a rolling update release) then Microsoft (based on their business model) will be looking at some way of recovering costs for keeping the OS up to date. Windows users though will have no choice as they cannot fork off Windows for their own use, and with Adobe Creative Cloud we have already seen that if the software does not "call home" every 90 days to check if it has a valid license, it stops working. Interesting times ahead (which will will not be affecting me I can say thankfully)

Subscription charges are now an official part of Windows 10 pricing.

Really? I mean, if you don't want to drink Coke (or other soft drinks), that's fine. I used to drink a lot of Coke but have cut way back in recent years, mostly to decrease my calorie intake. But to say it shouldn't be consumed because it's acidic, consider vinegar. It has the same pH or lower but you wouldn't say "don't ingest vinegar," would you?

I've suffered from this for years. Anyone else? Any relief proposals?
Have you ever seen a movie when someone is close to a bomb exploding and then they have a loud high pitched ringing in their ears? That is what mine sounds like. The quieter my surrondings, the worse it is. I have found that "white noise" helps cancel it out a little, for me.
This cross-sectional study quantifies the prevalence of tinnitus and describes the epidemiologic features of tinnitus in a nationally representative sample of US adults.

I'm not lazy. I prefer to be called "energetically challenged".

Refutes the notion that people may just be psychologically lazy.
Chronic fatigue syndrome—a condition that continues to baffle doctors—may be influenced by a person’s intestinal bacteria—sometimes called gut microbiome, new research finds.

War is politics by other means.
You have heard that, right?

I don't have a sense of humor.
I just want discipline in the ranks.

This is war.

If you have a Netflix account -- or other online accounts -- you've probably shared your password with a friend in the past: http://wlky.tv/6265Bxz4z
Three judges in the U.S. Court of Appeals issued the ruling last week.

Accessing data on a computer without authorization was already a crime. Netflix wasn't involved in this case it is speculation by a dissenting judge that it could be used that way. The actual case was an ex-employee who used someone else's password to obtain information from his former employer without authorization.

Introduction
My real loves are my wife of 22 years & our 16 yr old "son" Alfred (a long haired Jack-Russell).
Sadly Alfred "went to be with his grandma in heaven" 12/20/2014. RIP little buddy.

I am very eclectic. I like the latest gizmos gadgets & tech, as well as the old, tried & true of years ago. I enjoy my Galaxy Nexus almost as much as smoking a 1930's Dunhill pipe (filled w/965 of course).

I listen to long haired music, classical & rock. I drive a VW Jetta Sportwagen clean diesel TDi. My wife & I have a beautiful koi pond.

I have been a mutual fund salesman, plumber in D.C., dishwasher @ Interlochen, tow-boat designer, and have built those big water towers all over the country.

My interests centers on things that are done "right". From my pipe collecting to listening to classical music.

Automatic watches (a real watch should tick)
All things titanium

NO marketers! You will be blocked, so don't bother. I try to make my own decisions. I won't buy a 800 Hp, 5 ton truck, that gets 2 mpg, to drive to the corner to get a soda!
