I was able to have a custom wood splitter built here in Chile by Eric Hansen a Mennonite Gringo who does excellent work.
The design is really what I have always looked for in a wood splitter having used many in my younger years.

Here in Chile in the country side it is not like the former USA, when you need bread you make it yourself or you drive 15 min into town to buy it. So making bread is a skill you will likely use and I hope enjoy. Jim
