I was passing through from Penn Station to the Megabus and happened in. The bartender was fantastic, and I felt comfortable with the bar immediately. A guy next to me ordered the Shepards Pie, and I will definitely make sure tp have room for one next time! While full, she was on top of her world and made ample time for each interaction while extremely busy. Monsoon conditions or no, I will be back next time I am near. Thanks, Karen... I respect your work.

This is one of my favorite bars in the neighborhood. All of our best office happy hours take place here. The food is of good quality and fairly priced. I really like the club sandwich. A friend of mine raved about the lasagna that was a special the day I took him there, (lasagna at an Irish bar? Ok, whatever makes him happy). The heated (in the winter) backyard is a great place to hang out. I just wish they had more Irish, (Smithwicks and Harp), beers on tap. Can't wait to try the Groupon brunch next weekend. They get bonus points for an exceptionally clean ladies room and for hooking me up with lots of free soda when I was pregnant. With the exception of a grouchy old man that's sometimes behind the bar, the staff is friendly and efficient.

My family and I wandered into McGarry's one evening, very hungry and a little tired. We had excellent, quick service, and I was impressed by how understanding the staff was of my slightly cranky 18 month old. They were very attentive to our needs and made our dinner a pleasant experience. The food was standard, but the service and atmosphere made this somewhere we would return to...

Stopped in after a long day of bike riding and filled up on Guinness and some Bangers & mash, which was delicious. If I was in the area more often I'd definitely go there more, as the service was good, but unfortunately I'm rarely up there.
