Best kept secret in the city! Awesome family restaurant that we've been supporting for 15+ years. Food is the best (fajitas!) and the margaritas are top in the city. Denice does an awesome job with her son Bryce in this quaint atmosphere. Get here early on the weekends!

Great place. I was introduced to Torreon by a co-worker and let me just say this... Since I was introduced 6 months ago, I have gone to this restaurant every Friday for lunch.. Great people who get to know your name and treat you like family. GREAT food (I recommend the shrimp tacos or the chicken tortilla soup). The only thing I am not fond of is the hours of operation but when you have food and an atmosphere this good, its def. worth it.

Great authentic Mexican food. Always fresh. Most of the staff is family and always friendly. Been eating there for some 30 years. Love those margaritas!

Torreon has been there for something like 52 years now, third generation of ownership by the same family. I've been going there for three or four years, pretty regularly, and I've never had anything less than a four-star experience. Portions are big and the food is delicious. Staff is goodnatured and efficient. Yup, the place is very small, and the hours are limited. But as the owner once told me -- "Why take a chance of ruining a good thing?" It's one of my favorite places to take friends when they visit.

The other reviewers were not joking about those margaritas. They're a kick in the pants and so delicious! This place has very good food and all of the staff is nice, well versed on the menu, and incredibly accommodating (The lady at the table next to us reconfigured the entire menu essentially and they didn't bat an eye). Heads up, the Frido or Fredo or whatever the other option is exactly as they describe it: angel hair pasta with enchilada sauce. You can skip that experience. It got very busy around 6pm (on a Thursday) when we went for dinner, so plan accordingly.

This restaurant charges for additional bowls of chips. The salsa tasted like water. The seating area is small, and crowded. The portions are small compared to other mexican places. And overall, everything was extremely bland. It tasted less like a mexican place, and more like microwaved frozen mexican food.
