Amazing service, amazing food, and hands down, the BEST bloody marry in Boston. Try it. You won't regret it. Have been multiple times for dinner and brunch. I'm in love with their brunch... It's truly a hidden gem in the city. Priced perfectly while getting the full mistral evening experience... What more could you ask for from one of the best restaurants in Boston?

Mistral – Boston, MA – 5/31/2016 This is the first of Chef Jamie Mammano’s six amazing restaurants in the Boston Metro area… Like some of the others I've been to, large grandiose dining room beautifully decorated… The entire place hums with the efficiency of a fine Swiss time piece… Each person moving in harmony as though the entire event was choreographed... Mistral is where art meets cuisine with its French Mediterranean fare... It tastes every bit as good as it looks and although I like discovering new places… This just got added to my go back to list... First out… A small round loaf of bread served warm with softened butter and a Chick Pea and Garlic purée… I could easily eat the entire loaf but decided to be good and have just two pieces… It's just a great bread… Tonight's appetizer… The Asparagus Bisque… Asparagus, Cream, Leeks, Chicken Stock, Parsley and Spinach all puréed smooth, served with a Yogurt and Lemon Panna Cotta… Beautifully plated with a garnish of Jumbo Lump Crab and Herb Salad… There is no picture that could do justice as to exactly how delicious this soup was… Wow! The main… A Half “Whole Roasted” Duck & Wild Mushroom Risotto, Dried Cherry Gastrique… Yet another work of art! Rich in Colour…Flavour… Atop a Risotto in a Savory sauce that just has you wanting more... Amazing, but then I fully expected that it would be… And for dessert… The house made ice cream trio… Vanilla, Chocolate and Coffee along with my signature Cappuccino! My server Tom was awesome as was Jasmyn one of the managers for her attentive service… Add this to your “must try” list in the Boston area… Simply marvelous, I'll be back!

I've been to this place at least 10x now and it remains to be one of my favorite French restaurants in Boston. The dishes are unpretentious and have generous serving sizes. The prices are reasonable and there's no up-charge on innovation which this place is lacking in the flavor profile of the dishes.

We went for dinner, it has a great ambiance. The service was friendly and food was delicious. We had the thin crust Tomato Mozzarella which was very delicious and served hot.

The service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The entrees were outstanding. My party had the roast duck, Atlantic Cod and I had a fantastic salmon dish. Deserts were perfect. They have an excellent wine list, but somehow we were able to pass on the $2,500 bottle of Rothschild and settled for a perfectly fine Malbec by the glass. I was happy to learn that "southern" French cuisine does not involved fried anything and the vegetables were not overcooked. : )

We were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation here for a biz dinner. We were well impressed with the prompt service and robust menu. Apparently not much on shellfish. We were hoping for some oyster options but all they had were steamed Black Mussels, which were great! As suggested we went with the Special swordfish/salmon tartare, while others had the Ribeye special. All of it was outstanding. Their extensive Wine List was impressive. The waiter's recommendation was a great pairing. All and all an excellent restaurant with attention to detail and service. This has joined our 5 star list. Will come again soon.

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” ― Julia Child, Mastering the Art of French Cooking

At the height of summer there’s nothing like Ripe Heirloom Tomatoes. Enjoy them as an appetizer, paired with Local Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Aged Balsamic & Basil.
