It may be the original but it's not the best. The meat was dry, they skimp on Pickles (one slice per order) and they charge 1$ for ranch sauce which is free at other places. The wait is ridiculous. They could do a lot better. I ate at every hot chickèn place in Nashville and tried the KFC effort before I went to Princes. The best Nashville Hot Chicken to me is Boltons, hardly ever a wait, easy to get too and the food is great, And Hotter. Hattie B's is the McDonald's of hot chicken, it's over breaded and not as hot. The yuppie version. Helens does a great job too. But if you don't mind waiting and want the experience that goes with it by all means try Princes at least once. The best thing about it is its open past midnight on fridays!

The chicken is very good -- not great (I would prefer Hattie B's), but definitely very good. I take stars off due to various convenience factors. 1) Have you ever tried calling these guys? Have you ever gotten through? Lucky you. I haven't. It's been 2 years. 2) Long lines, long wait time for food... not the best. Overall food is very good, convenience is not, and there are probably better options. But it's the original, so you gotta do it.

They don't accept credit/debit, the wait is forever, the restaurant is very crammed, and the staff is rude! As long as this place has been in business and with the competition going up against them, you would think they'd do better. Don't get me wrong, their food is good but not 45 mins to an hour good just for a piece of chicken.

Good luck recognizing which shop in the strip. :) Once you enter feels as if you are back in time, ordered some medium spicy chicken with a friend who got wings. Presentation was normal nothing out of this world, but let me now get to the chicken... It was spiced just right, hit every part of the mouth n tongue... Great flavor everywhere. Next time I would get a to go and destroy it at home

Best bit chicken ever! May have to wait a little while but worth the wait. If you've never tried it, try it, and you'll give it 5 star's too

Love the food, hate the wait. Been going to The original for years. I hate to say it but, Bolton's is the best! He worked for prince's so he has the same recipe, and not the wait.

I been eating at Prince's hot chicken since the 90s. There hot chicken is the best. Long waits during the weekend are the norm.
