Great - if you can get in. Death + Company walks the line between pretentious and quirky - think dark walls, candelabras and many, many hipsters. The cocktail menu is divided by primary spirit, and then by shaken vs stirred. It makes a large menu quite manageable. The cocktails are strong and interesting, and the space (like many speakeasies) is pleasant because everyone can sit and hear each other. But also, like many speakeasies (I'm looking at you, Raines), the wait is unpredictable. Don't plan to go in right away - have a backup bar nearby while you wait to get in. It could be a reasonable 20 minutes, or a full 2 hours.

Amazingly dark and mysterious with an encyclopaedic classic drink menu. If you can get through the doors to this cozy, intimate space, both the food and beverage are quite good. The service is knowledgeable, helpful and invisible. Great place for a date or catching up with an old friend over a classic cocktail. Be sure to try something new.

Use to be my favorite cocktail speakeasy style bar. I absolutely love this place, from the dark decor to the awesome staff. Drinking is serious here and it's become a bit rowdy from the secret it use to be to the now financial type who come here too much but regardless of the crowd that sucks the drinks are impeccable. Good luck to you if they have a long wait and you know no one as you may never be let in but this place is worth every cent. The drinks really are superb and anyone I've brought here loves it.

Great mixology bar! Every drink I tried was really good. It's a private and posh ambiance but their rules were a little too strict. It's not a good place for large, loud parties, but would be a great date location.

This is where I would take Ernest Hemingway out for a drink. You can go out and have a drink or you can imbibe a piece of art, and that's exactly how they treat their concoctions here. Yeah it can take a long time to get in, but trust me it's worth it. So leave your name and number at the door. It'll be the best call you receive that night.

I love speak easies! I had my 30th birthday in the backroom but I would not consider this a speak easy. You just wait at the door for someone to let you in to be seated. Its more like a whisper hard. I came here with my co-worker after a big dinner. We were seated at the side bar so we stared at the wall and talked. Next time I would opt out of sitting there. The regular bar is where it's at. They ran out of certain syrup for the drink (Something crane) I initially wanted. But, the waitress recommended me something and it was really good. I was already toasty from dinner so 1 drink was fine for me. Service was nice they kept refilling my water. My co-worker had 2 drinks and I forgot what he got or whatever he said that night. Overall, a good place for a nice drink.
