My second visit since they opened. First time, underwhelmed. Today, underwhelmed again with the quiche and salad ($11). I was looking for a light breakfast, but the quiche, though tasty, was the size of an underfilled muffin cup. The salad had julienned carrots that were dry and had the distinct look of coming out of a Safeway salad mix bag. This was a Sunday and I had just purchased a bunch of gorgeous organic carrots around the corner at the West Seattle Farmer's Market for $2.50. I suggest if they are not going to serve fresh food, they should take the word "Fresh" off the name of the restaurant. I pointed out the unfresh carrots to the waitress, she said she would inform the chef but there was no evidence she did this while I was in the restaurant. There was no restitution for my complaint. A refill of my 8 oz cup of good coffee ($3.50) would have been a thoughtful compensation but was not offered.

One order not to miss. The Lamb Burger with truffle roast potatoes. Great any time of the day. Healthy size patty with bib lettuce, cucumber and sauce.

This is my new favorite restaurant!!! But it is difficult for my vegan BF. :( So I won't be able to eat here as often as I would like.

I like this place. A little bit expensive as compared to other restaurants nearby, worth it though.

Food is alright, nothing to speak of. I've had better... Although I do weight most of my food experience against NYC cuisine... So nothing is Seattle really that good...

I had my first Fresh Bistro experience today for brunch. Since the place is so new and hip, I found it impossible to not compare it to Spring Hill the whole time. I like Spring Hill better. The place was fairly busy when I got there, maybe about 2/3rds full. When we were seated, our waitress immediately came over and apologized profusely got not having greeted us sooner, which was strange since it had only been like 60 seconds. Following this, she took our drink orders, and told us someone would be by to fill out water. 5 minutes later, still no water, but she brought us our coffees, repeating that someone ELSE would be bringing us water soon. We ordered food. It took maybe another 10 minutes after that when we finally got water from the host. The waitress had apparently decided that she was too good to pour water herself, and she didn't care if we never got it, since all that mattered was that she didn't have to stoop to that level. I literally had a bet going with my girlfriend that the food would come first. Anyway, about 20 seconds after our water finally arrived, our food showed up. My Vietnamese pork sandwich ($10) was excellent, and my girlfriend's country fried steak ($15; both items had really fancy names and decriptions) was just good, not great (not nearly as good as Jak's version down the street, which costs less). Overall I was happy with the food, which would probably earn 4 stars from me even though it's pretty pricey. I also liked the fancy coffees, although it's sort of lame they don't offer normal drip at all (the cheapest coffee is the $4 small french press). The service on the other hand, more like 2 stars. I averaged those out to a 3 star overall rating. Yes servers, even though it's the host's job to help you out with watering tables, you are still ultimately responsible to make sure it happens. This should be common sense.

Amazing coconut french toast and biscuits and gravy. The French toast isn't too dense, so the overall meal feels light yet filling. It's also a nice contemporary decor with interesting pressed bamboo tables.
