Three Thumbs Up for "BLUE"

I had sooo much fun reading this book. The build up of the settings and character relationships are meticulous; I mean the author doesn't miss a single detail. I appreciate his effort, at some points in the story, to just list the information necessary to maintain the story's continuity in less than a paragraph at the end of a chapter, rather than going off on a whole unnecessary tangent.
This story is about the "big picture" with regard to the "Black" dilemma. Jones never (except during one scene in the Southern US) mentions racism or offers blame for the current position of Blacks to any other racial or political group. As a radical myself, I learned much and gained new perspective through his approach.
You have to be pretty socially savvy to get the most out of reading this story because the author seldom states the obvious (another element that was appreciated). In the end it all comes down to this: The devil is obviously very busy everyday trying to entrap and use us against one another, but we all have a choice to follow the righteous path and what if everyone did their part?
This is a beautifully crafted and extremely imaginative story that I would recommend to anyone with even a partially open mind. A safe read for youth, as there are little to no vulgarities, just good 'ol [black] magic.http://www.amazon.com/BLUE-extraordinary-courage-Walter-JONES-ebook/dp/B00IDW2QNQ
