Comfort food at it's finest. Not too cheap, but found the price to be right here, especially since I fell in love with my BLT. Was disjointed to miss their breakfast serving time by a mere few minutes, but we were promptly seated for lunch. Great customer and waiting service, may I say. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. A large menu will keep you deciding for minutes on what to devour. They also have a variety of drinks and brews to choose from. It does get pretty packed in here, and you may even find yourself sharing a communal table, but that's nothing when you finally get your hands on an amazing meal. Friedman's does it right.

Awesome spot for brunch in the market. Very cool and hip space, but managed to feel intimate even though tables are close together. Unfortunately they can't serve drinks before noon on Sunday, but the food makes up for it. It can be a bit noisy if nearby tables are rowdy. The staff was very friendly and quick. The food was perfect and had some good plays on normal brunch food like pulled pork benedict, short rib hash, and lots of sandwiches. The pulled pork benedict was awesome with perfectly poached eggs and tangy pork. The fried chicken and cheddar waffles were incredible. The chicken was moist, crispy, and packed with savory flavor and the waffles were cheesy and fluffy. It was a ton of food, but tasty through each bite.

simple foods elevated, everything is great! the service is prompt and very friendly, you only need to be prepared for the Chelsea prices, and comparatively speaking, for the location, they are not too dear; the flavors and service make it totally worth it.

After walking around in the miserable heat, I needed something cool and refreshing to eat. I ordered the Asian Chop salad. It had wontons, shredded chicken, pea pods, and peanut dressing. So balanced and cool and crispy! I finally felt refreshed after my meal. Make sure to schedule your time around their busy schedule...lunch had a 45 minute wait.

Tried the burger which was quite plain. I asked for rare and I got medium, which was pretty dried out. Fish tacos were actually good and a bit spicy, which I liked.

This casual, yet refined, modern day diner offers fresh and tasty food in beautiful surroundings. While I am a devout carnivore, their veggie burger is among the best I've hard anywhere. The other comfort food options generally don't disappoint. Prices are on the higher side, but that's what you expect at Chelsea Market. They also offer take out, which you can take near by to High Line for a picnic.

I sometimes stop here for lunch when I'm in town to visit Google. They have one of the best Grilled Cheese sandwiches I've had in a long time. The mixture of cheeses is perfect. I've also had what they call a B.L.A.T. Whoever it is that comes up with these recipes knows what they are doing. If your in the area and looking for an honest to goodness good meal, stop at Friedman's. You won't regret it.
