I thought the food at Fruition was simple, fresh and done well. I had the lamb and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The overall dining experience was very enjoyable. The staff is very timely, pleasant and knowledgeable. The reason that I will not readily return to the restaurant, is because it is way too expensive for what it is. I went with one other person. Our total order was two appetizers, two entrees, one dessert, two glasses of wine, one cocktail and one beer. With tip, our bill was $190. I do not mind paying that for a dinner if that dinner is exceptional. For that price, I expect a lot of finesse in my food and drink and some truly memorable dishes. Like I said, the food was done very well; however, it was certainly not jaw dropping. On both my appetizer and entree, the sauce was a very think puree that really lacked any creativity or style. The sauces had okay flavor, but really were not all that impressive in texture and complexity. To sum it up, the food and beverages are simple, delicious, well executed, but are not exceptional. I could go to a dozen restaurants off of the top of my head and get just as good of a meal and dining experience for half the price.

Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Prices are RIGHT and the quality is impeccable. I highly recommend all of the following: - Potato-Wrapped Oysters Rockefeller - Prosciutto Wrapped Scallops - Prime Certified Stockyard Beef Culotte - Pan Roasted Colorado Lamb Strip Loin - Caramelized Banana Pudding - Lemon Meringue Pie OMG I can't wait to go back here next time I visit Denver.

Very good food and service in a quiet neighborhood setting. There are no cocktails, just wine and beer.

For all the hype this place gets I was pretty excited about finally getting a table here. Unfortunately I wasn't overly impressed. The food was good but was such small portions after my wife an I had an appetizer and our main dish we were still very hungry. On top of that, it took over an hour for our main course to come out. I don't really enjoy eating dinner at 10 pm. My last gripe was that they charge 8$ for a can of beer (black shirt brewing). It wasn't so much the price that bothered me, it was the fact they bring the can out an put it on the table. I really don't need to be reminded that u just ripped me off by leaving the can on the table...Just pour it in the glass an serve it.

If you like you like complex flavors and a variety of spices, this will be a let down. Extremely limited options for vegetarians -- don't take my word for it. Call and find out. Service was poor for the price point, i understand its a small and densely packed restaurant but you've got to have quality front of the house service to match the reputation. Also, the tables are close enough to have your neighbors eavesdrop, things may have just gone wrong for me... but the folks next to us decided to chime in on a conversation i was having with my family throughout the evening. Having said that, everything on the outer radius of my core meal was fantastic!

It's all what people say it is. Very elegant dining and a unique seasonal menu. All the food is prepared in a fantastic presentation. The only thing is don't come here too hungry. The proteins are fare size for the type of dinning. If you get chance you want to done here.
