Went to flemmings to celebrate a birthday. Service was very slow. The waitress kept disappearing and forgeting things. They left wine glasses and dirty dishes on the table. Ordered the sea bass, It was ok. Friend ordered filet well done. had to send it back 3 times. Came back looking like a hockey puc! They eneded up taking the steak of the bill. This was the worst steak house Ive been to. IT WAS SO NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!!! I will never go back! I will stick with Perrys Steak House.

Flemings was a big disappointment. My family and I (wife and son) went to eat at Flemings for Easter Brunch. We had a 2:30 reservation and were seated early, which was nice, but then we waited at the table. Another two tables were sat after us and both of them were able to order before we were. Our calamari appetizer came, and that was actually quite good. Then came our fruit and soup appetizers. However, we still had dirty plates all over the table, so make room was difficult. Our table remained cluttered until they served the main course. I had the prime rib. It was overly seasoned with rosemary, and didn't appear to be a particularly good cut of meat. My wife had the filet mignon. She ordered it well done, but the steak was dry, thoroughly gray, and cut like a cheap piece of sirloin rather than a filet. She normally orders a steak well-done, so we are used to it not being as juicy as other steaks, but this was a joke. My son ordered the french toast and we actually had to send it back. A fork couldn't stab it and a knife couldn't cut it. It was like a crouton. I also ordered some diablo shrimp which were ok, but the waiter reached across my wife's plate without so much as an excuse me to drop off my shrimp. The carrots that came with the meal were ok. A bit under done, but eh. The smashed potatoes O'brien were just potatoes. They were not smashed, they weren't seasoned. They were just potatoes, I mean, literally, someone quartered a potato and put it in the oven. For desert I had the turtle pie which was good and my wife had a cheese cake which was also good. My son had a "sundae" which was one scoop of vanilla with a light brown chocolate sauce in the bottom of the bowl. No presentation whatsoever with the sundae. For $165, I expect better. This was an utter disappointment. Texas Roadhouse has twice the quality for 1/4 the price. They even gave us a $25 gift card that I plan on giving away. The gift card might cover the cost of two drinks, but then I would be forced to give them more of my hard earned money. Not happening.

We were a party of 2. I had the dry steak he had filet mignon. Cocktails are professionally made (mixologists). The alcohol was the best part of this steak house in my opinion. My steak was flavorful but I did not pick up the nutty flavors they were advertising for their seasonal dry aged steak.

I don't understand how people rated this place 4-5 stars? Celebrated a friends birthday there not too long ago and found it highly over priced, and the steak I ordered wasn't great at all, which for that price, I thought it would be. The drinks we ordered from the bar were also not that great. Service was okay. The best place I had the pleasure of dining for my birthday was at Perry's, La Cantera!! Price was less than this place, food was EXCELLENT...and the drinks were outstanding! Trust me...this place is not worth it. P.S. I'm not advertising for Perry's...just using as an example...but I do recommend Perry's to my friends!!

Fleming's is amazing! I celebrate my anniversary there every year and just had a wonderful experience there this past Sunday. All of my experiences have been memorable, but this one was even more so. They knew it was our anniversary and took extra special care of us; checking in just the right amount of times, bringing us everything we wanted exactly how we wanted it (and we did not have to wait long for anything), and the manager came by to personally wish us a happy anniversary. They sent us off with a box of truffles and gift card for next time and they also sent us an e-mail saying how much they appreciated our service. I can tell they really try to give exceptional customer service and it is not often that I come across that. I wish there were more places like Fleming's.

Horrible, there is nothing positive I could say about this restaurant. I was in San Antonio for business, myself and 2 friends stopped here for dinner after a round of golf. The place was dirty, the wine display case was dirty and full of dust. Our waiter was horrible, couldn't understand a word he was saying and he brought the wrong drinks and then argued with us that the didn't sell a certain beer even though it is on there list. Guess what after 10 minutes of waiting, they had there beer we ordered, the rest of the night pretty much went like that and when the food finally came out after 55 minutes, it was just bad, a total waste of $400.00 would never go back!

We ate exceptionally well, drank gorgeous wine and service leaves you to your party without interrupts constantly as other restaurants do. <---Thesis statement alone screams a must go!

Last night, we had a group of about 30 people. Fleming's gave us inadequate wait staff, even though they were not that busy. I had to ask twice for lemonade (after waiting 30 minutes for my first request), and I was not the only one who had service issues. The food, well, for that price I expected to be wowed. I was, to put it mildly, underwhelmed. Our end of the table shared bites with each other so we could all taste different dishes. The lamb was tough, the seared tuna overcooked, the steak bland, the veal shank was tender, but the veal chop was tough. Almost everything we had was overwhelmingly peppered, as if the chef had run out of every spice but pepper. I was not the only one that noticed the plethora of pepper-my friends noticed as well, with different dishes. The lack of any other flavor other than pepper showed a lack of training and/or imagination on the part of the chef (or was it the busboy filling in for the chef?) I will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone I like or respect. All hype, poor service, and even poorer food. All in all, VERY disappointing!
