This is only for people who have purchased books directly from Springer, the science and math book publisher, and it's a BIG WARNING: SPRINGER IS COMPLETELY SCREWED UP! All of you already know this if you've ever tried to buy books in their archive book sale - Springer claims you can buy all you want for $19.99 each, but in fact for the last 2 years (for me, at least) that has been either a Springer lie or a complete Springer screwup.

However, their recent screwup with me is much more serious. I purchased 7 eBooks May 2015 from Springer simultaneously as a group and paid for all 7 using PayPal, and my PayPal account shows the correct total paid to Springer for all 7 books! (Unlike Springer, I keep good accounting records so I know this information for a fact.) When Springer emailed me their usual invoice for the purchase, this time I did not look at it because I assumed Springer wasn't the screwup company they've turned out to be - the invoice only listed 6 of the 7 books and had the correct payment total for the 6, which was $19.99 less than what I paid through PayPal (SO WHY DIDN'T SCREWUP SPRINGER THEN SHOW I HAD AN ACCOUNT BALANCE THAT WAS PLUS $19.99, THE AMOUNT OF THE BOOK THAT WAS DROPPED?!). Springer eventually discovered the error and assumed it was my error - that I had not paid for the book (HOW THE H**L DOES SCREWUP SPRINGER THINK I WAS ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THEIR EBOOK WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT?!). I replied to the first email from Springer Debt Collection with all the information needed to prove I had paid for the book, but now they claim I have not replied and they are threatening to send their screwup claim to the debt collection agency. So I replied again (about 10 times) through various email addresses, and I'm using the power of social media to let the world know what a SCREWUP, EVIL COMPANY Springer is.

I have nonfiction books, in addition to other fiction books, planned for future publication, and I WILL NEVER PUBLISH THROUGH SPRINGER!

The Sorry Saga of Sadsack Salmon
(continued 34)
The Stalker Lurks

Deep deep in depths where mire murks, loom fears, fearful fears, of dire works,
Deathly deadly works, loosed from psyches' most discomfited shirks,
That haunt to know they cannot know where the stalker lurks;
For everywhere, there the stalker lurks!
Which causes stressful, startling irks, to think he's there and jump with jerks,
While the stalker smirks, knowing they're not knowing where the stalker lurks!
The omni-, omni- of all berserks,
Is where the stalker lurks!
For somewhere there in domineering preying peering,
Murderous jeering, barbarous leering, the savage stalker lurks!
And from the morphing mucky murks,
Is how the stalker works;
With frightening that's heightening and tightening,
The stalker lurks!

Gull and the ninja are doing Frankenstein laser-gun scans;
But the family's excited about their wedding plans.
With E-E starship stealthily parked,
And a pastor on comm off-site,
Sadsack wrote wedding vows he earlier embarked,
That Amelia and he will in unison recite.
Amelia wanted to wear a white dress;
She bought one online to be flown,
With one-hour delivery by drone;
Because she didn't want to look a mess.
But the bots shot down the drone at the tunnel entrance,
So she and Sea are improvising freelance;
The wedding starts in odd circumstance,
But it's now the vows in unison time:

Upon this our wedding so sublime, as our eternal bells ring in rhyme,
We vow to never lose love's lore, nor its symbolic chime in four:
Love, Beauty, Strength and Faith are forever thoughts to so adore.
All thoughts give the universe its essence in whole,
But love bonds us eternally into one soul.
Inner beauty is itself the very thoughts of the universe's creation,
And hopes and dreams are the thoughts of lasting beauty's foundation.
Life's very nature promises us travail,
But through all, our support of each other with strength will never fail.
And finally it is the strength of our faith that joins our physicalness,
Bonds our souls, and unites our hopes and dreams into oneness.
And so our wedding vows are simply these, to forever hold and cherish,
In strength and faith, love and inner beauty that will never perish;
With this being the greatest of the above: we promise each other our eternal love.

The wedding was bliss;
Salmon and Amelia, now married, kiss;
And there's a slam on the starship that no one can miss!
Panic ensues;
Despair accrues.
Out the windows they look;
And in the Frankenstein playbook:
“The only thing from the novel that's well-known,
Is that we can't be stupid and leave Amelia alone”;
Another slam!
Followed by a big wham!
And they all from window to window scram!
“I've got to get outside, but if I do, I'd rather have cut off my head!
Amelia will be dead!”

The Sorry Saga of Sadsack Salmon
(continued 33)
'Their Wedding Night!'

Frankenstein flings infinite-loop berserk; he's a bashing big bot jerk!
If dorkdom were filled with artwork, fartwork would hang in their kingdom,
And they'd all be singing in the choir of dingdom!
Welcome to the hut of flingdom!
The family must reshape the landscape to a ding-dong-free cloudscape,
And waveshape an escape from topsy-turvydom;
So create their own ding-a-lingdom;
Then out the hut of flingdom!
Amelia transforms viperine, with a friend for the redesign;
Off-line goes Frankenstein; Sea brings E-E starship zingdom;
Out is the family, safe in wingdom!
Then yells Frankenstingdom:
"I WILL BE WITH YOU ON YOUR WEDDING-NIGHT, dingdom!"
From his hut in flingdom.

“What does he mean, 'I'll be with you on your wedding night'?”
Sea asks, as they fly away, “And aren't you two married all right?”
Amelia says, “We will be very soon”;
Sadsack adds, “We decided long ago.
I saw a place with light shining down from the moon;
We'll park there and have our friend get a pastor gung ho.
And about his being with us when we're wed”;
Sadsack pauses, not knowing that next is a new killer,
That makes dumb Frankenstein seem hardly like a chiller.
“He plans to sneak and kill Amelia dead!”
And the family flies E-E starship to rest by and by,
Under a small hole that goes up to the sky,
Where Bear puts an antenna high,
For comm in line of sight.

But dark will be the long cold night, and stark will be their dour dark plight!
For sneaking, creeping, closer, closer, crawling, trawling, expedite,
Is Frankenstein fulfilling his brutal birthright,
To be there on their wedding night!
And the family knows he's coming, coming mercilessly coming,
Ruthlessly numbing, relentlessly through the night,
Bringing with him a slashing blight,
Thrashing their wedding night!
And so they all must wait, until the wedlock date,
To bring Frankenstein his fate, in horror-film dim light:
“Soon in Theater Hug-Me-Tight,
A bloodbath nuptials fright!
A diabolical delight!
'Their Wedding Night!'”

NOTES: Regarding the Structure of My Poems
Sadsack 32 The Family Show 2014-07-26
https://plus.google.com/+VanceAvis/posts/H9bLEEK1iwh
describes the first two general sonnet forms I created for writing these poems, and why I structured them as I did. In this Sadsack, I created a third new sonnet form that I used twice in this post. Here are all three in summary form:

My Sonnet Types
(my rough, not academic, notes subject to heavy edit later)
Nomenclature
Sonnet is liberally used to refer to a 14-line, fixed-verse poem-stanza in the larger poem.
Scene-set means describes a scene or sets the scene for the sonnet that follows it.
Numbers are number of syllables in a line;
/ is used to separate lines.
Lowercase letters indicate rhyming words: e.g. 6a, 6a indicates two 6-syllable phrases that are on the same line and end in words that rhyme.
Uppercase letters indicate identical words that rhyme with their lowercase counterparts: e.g. 8A, A8a indicates that the first 8-syllable phrase ends in the same word that begins the second 8-syllable phrase and that word rhymes with the word ending the second 8-syllable phrase.
Repetition refers to the use of repeated first consonants, rhymes, words, or phrases, etc.

Sonnet Types
Action Scene-set Sonnet 14 lines
Major scene (2 lines: a-a); emphasis (2 lines 6b-6c);
minor or concluding scene (2 lines: 9b-9c):
    12a / 12a / 6b  / 6c / 9b / 9c
Opposing scene (2 lines: e-e) framed by current scene (d-d):
    9d  / 6e / 6e / 9d
Ending scene-set for beginning of action:
    12f / 9f / 6f / 3g
Where an Action Sonnet follows this sonnet and begins with:
    3g / 6g / 12g
Or if this scene-set sonnet ends the sonnet sequence,
then 2 lines follow to conclude:
    6g / 3g or 9g / 6g

Action Sonnet 14 lines
Beginning action: 3a / 6a / 12a
Main action:         3b / 3b / 6c / 6c / 9d  / 9d
Ending action:      3e / 6e / 9e
Set the scene for the next sonnet:
                              12f / 6f (or less often 9f)
Notes
The previous two sonnet forms, the Action Scene-set Sonnet and the Action Sonnet, seem to require a rigid adherence to their formats to make them work without creating a completely new sonnet form. This following new sonnet form requires the opposite. Just as Poe varied each stanza of The Raven, this sonnet seems to require a looser artistic interpretation of the format for it to work in each circumstance.

Poe-Raven refers to my attempt to capture, in sonnet form, Poe's style he used in his poem, The Raven.

Repetition Types
*RepCon2nd means use first consonant repetition in second half of the line;
*RepDup means use repetition that can include duplicating a word or rhyme in the center of the line, such as 8a, a8r or 8A, A8r;
*Rep means try to use some form of repetition;

Influenced by Poe-Raven and his repetition of the phrase “Nevermore”, in this sonnet 'PH' stands for the repeated phrase and 'ph' for rhymes with it:
Phrase Scene-set Sonnet 14 lines
(1) 8a, 8a *RepCon2nd
(2) 8a, 8ph *RepDup
(3) 12ph *Rep
(4) 8PH
(1) 8b, 8b *RepDup *RepCon2nd
(2) 6b, 6ph
(3) 8ph *Rep
(4) 6PH
(1) 6c, 6c *RepCon2nd
(2) 6c, 6ph
(3) 8ph *Rep
(4) 6PH or 6ph
(1) 8ph *Rep
(2) 4PH

The Sorry Saga of Sadsack Salmon
(continued 32)
The Family Show

The scene's billed as just another family outing;
But the family's ready for two-fisted bouting.
Frankenstein's clutching Bear,
And the ninja's pounce-poised;
Sadsack and Amelia form a pair;
And SeaGull are in fight-mode big-boys'd.
Sadsack's about to rhyme out a plan;
But Frankenstein's sneering
That fierce action's nearing;
And time for logical thought's in ban!
So in perfect unison the family quick whacks;
And from multiple angles attacks,
With the ninja's first thwacks.
But beware!

There's a scare,
For Frankenstein's aglare,
With hot flaming embers blazing out of his stare!
In a dash,
Like a flash,
While still holding Bear tight,
He lunges with bot might,
Straight towards Amelia – but she dodges!
And into his side – her hand lodges,
Grabs his fife,
That he plays to cause strife,
And she's now clutching Frankenstein's knife!
Into the joint of his arm holding Bear she stabs,
Freeing Bear with her jabs!

With Bear free the family can act as a unit,
And focus on teamwork and how to fine-tune it.
Amelia's poised behind,
Knife ready for action;
Bear's up high for a head leap to blind;
The ninja gives the fatal fraction.
Sea's set E-E starship for the fight;
Sadsack's ready to blitz
With laser pistol hits;
And Gull's set to fire laser gun might.
Sadsack quickly decides how to take out this bot;
He probably has just one good shot;
The head holds not a lot.
He shoots low!

Gull lets go!
And the laser gun show,
Makes a see-through torso-hole, but hits nothing, blow!
Which is naught
To a bot;
And down looks Frankenstein,
Who likes his redesign;
Until Amelia comes up in back,
And does a knife wiring-slash-and-hack!
Then surprise!
Down from above Bear flies,
Lands on his head and covers his eyes!
The ninja keeps him off balance banging him low,
Joining the family show!

However,
It can't last forever,
Because failed was the wire-cutting endeavor!
And kicked hard,
As if shard,
The ninja whams the wall;
And Bear's flung to a sprawl!
Sadsack laser pistols the bot's butt;
But Gull only blows holes in the hut.
Frankenstein
Transforms to aerodyne
And flies around thwacking vulturine!
All's bad so Amelia does a transportation,
Into transformation:

Amelia takes on the form of a feline fiend,
Causing the picture to be devilishly scened!
With an open-mouth stare,
And a whimsical buff,
Seducing the bot into her snare,
She makes Frankenstein fall off the bluff.
And the family begins to regroup;
But here comes Frankenstein,
Rad bad and back online!
Which crash dead-ends the family's recoup.
The monster's now a crazed bot machine gone berserk!
His flailing assailing is knee-jerk,
Limbs in perfect teamwork,
All clouting!

And so degrades the family outing,
To just short of pouting.
TBC

NOTE: The laser pistol used in this Sadsack was first mentioned in Sadsack 9; and how it functions was explained in Sadsack 10.

NOTES: Regarding the Structure of My Poems
Merriam-Webster defines sonnet as “a fixed verse form of Italian origin consisting of 14 lines that are typically 5-foot iambics rhyming according to a prescribed scheme”. So I'm taking the liberty, in these rough, and NOT academic, notes to use “sonnet” to refer to the 2 14-line poetic forms I've created in this post and in the previous post even though they are certainly atypical, not having any iambic pentameter in them. To me, on first read, the new sonnet form in this current poem appears to have no obvious structure, which is good because it smoothly does what it's suppose to do. But I want to show the structures I've created to write these sonnets, since some people seem to think I just whip these off in my sleep and should be posting more frequently. It's not as simple or as easy as it may look; and this one was a lot of work! Remember, these are my working notes subject to heavy edit later.
1) The first two 6-line poems in Sadsack 30
https://plus.google.com/+VanceAvis/posts/ZXtM4fH33bd
show the basic technique I've developed: first line shorter, second line longer best connotes an action sequence; the reverse is best for describing a scene.
2) Sadsack 31
https://plus.google.com/+VanceAvis/posts/B7Fmquokhvw
uses a 6-sonnet action sequence. The structure of the sonnet, which I call (in these rough notes) an Action Sonnet, is as follows:
Nomenclature: numbers are number of syllables in a line; / is used to separate lines; a-a or a-a-a, b-b, etc., means those lines with the same letter rhyme.

Action Sonnet 14 lines
Beginning action:
    3a / 6a / 12a
Main action:
    3b / 3b / 6c / 6c / 9d  / 9d
Ending action:
    3e / 6e / 9e
Set the scene for the next sonnet:
    12f / 6f (or less often 9f)

3) This current Sadsack adds what I call a scene-set sonnet, scene-set meaning simply that it describes a scene; and since it sets the scene for an action sequence, I call it:

Action Scene-set Sonnet 14 lines
Major scene (2 lines: a-a); emphasis (2 lines 6b-6c);
minor or concluding scene (2 lines: 9b-9c):
    12a / 12a / 6b  / 6c / 9b / 9c
Opposing scene (2 lines: e-e) framed by current scene (d-d):
    9d  / 6e / 6e / 9d
Ending scene-set for beginning of action:
    12f / 9f / 6f / 3g
Where an Action Sonnet follows this sonnet and begins with:
    3g / 6g / 12g
Or if this scene-set sonnet ends the sonnet sequence,
then 2 lines follow to conclude:
    6g / 3g or 9g / 6g

“Sea, move back!
We've got to change our tack;
E-E starship has to be closer to the shack!
Frankenstein
Drew his line!
Amelia's leg he caught,
When the window she sought!
Now outstretched as a taut rubber band,
She clings to the ladder with one hand!
Closer yet!
We've got to hedge the bet,
Since her falling off the cliff's the threat!
Then she needs a laser pistol in the shanty,
To whack up the ante!

“Here's the plan!
Bear crawls across the span,
As I hold Amelia with a laxity ban!
Bear's inside,
And in hide,
Expounding thoughts to chide,
Confounding bots' faux pride;
And if Amelia's release results,
We'll free Bear with new caprice insults.
Sea must scat,
Move the ladder like that,
So Amelia and I get off stat!
Then I'll use the laser pistol to hit the bot;
Gull laser guns the shot!

“Success means,
No more frightful betweens;
And safe in E-E starship we exit these scenes.
But to fail,
Means no bail;
And we three have to vie,
The ninja, Bear and I,
To enter Amelia's prison cell,
And defeat the monster in his hell!
Through Plan Zed,
If all goes as we dread,
Then we'll wing it and not lose our head!
But whatever happens, we'll do it with clever clouting,
Because it's just another family outing!”

And Sadsack makes it into a game,
Reporting events in a third-person real-time frame:

“And action!
Salmon gets his traction,
Down the ladder in a second and a fraction!
Wraps latter,
Quick patter,
And grabs Amelia tight;
'Now ready for Bear's flight!'
Over across Amelia Bear runs;
And through and past the window he guns!
To hiding,
Into earnest chiding,
With Frankenstein's response deriding:
'Rats! My hut's seriously infested with rats!
I have a need for cats!'

“To Plan B!
'Move E-E starship Sea!
To inside the hut is where we all have to be!'
Lightning fast,
Does it last!
The ninja's down and in!
Amelia's in back spin!
And Salmon's right behind, in like Flynn!
Then Amelia breathes fire dragon Yin!
Frankenstein
Can't process her redefine;
And with Amelia's look goes off-line.
'Amelia's free! Sea, get Gull positioned to shoot!
Let's blast away the brute!'”

“Okay Dad,
Gull's in four-year-old bad!”
And Sadsack grabs the laser pistol smiling glad!
But viperine
Comes Frankenstein!
He's back in process mode,
Running optimized code!
And blazingly fast he jumps sideways,
Latching onto Bear in the hindways!
“Gull, don't shoot!”
“I've got your pet rat, moot hoot!”
“I'm the family guru, not a pet, dumb suit!”
“Let's all try to remain calm to compute, and no pouting;
It's just another family outing...”

The Sorry Saga of Sadsack Salmon
(continued 30)
Escaping Frankenstein

With a jolt,
Riding a lightning bolt,
Sea rockets,
From avalanche pockets,
To the sky,
Where E-E starship's up high.

As the avalanche races and roars underneath,
No ill does it bequeath;
And Sadsack spots a shack on a mountain top jut;
It's Frankenstein's hut?!
So Sea sets E-E starship's course,
To strike with force!

“Amelia”, Sadsack calls, “we see a hut ahead;
If our comm must be unsaid,
Can you signal us through a window instead?”

And over their ear comm devices her voice sneaks,
Telling them Amelia's in the hut!
And E-E starship accelerates towards it with no but!
Then to Frankenstein Amelia speaks:
“Let's open the window a smidge;
Untie me so I can do it and not sit here and fidge”.

Frankenstein pauses,
Then states: “For untying you I can find no causes”.
Amelia whispers it to Sadsack and utters “Um”;
Sadsack expounds, “Well, 'Yo, dumb!';
This Frankenstein's monster gels 'ho hum'!
The 'I can find' says he's an autonomous bot;
The 'pause' tells us he's a slow low-watt;
And the 'no causes for untying' that he's yet to learn a lot.
So let's teach him 'whatnot'!”

“Amelia,
If with your being tied up, he associates,
Your thinking's being bound up, this necessitates,
Your being loosed up, so your comprehension recuperates”.

“Frankenstein,
Your words are all muddled;
You've tied up me and my brain so they're all puddled,
Making my thinking all befuddled.
Untie me and my brain so I can understand what you say,
And do it your way”.

Frankenstein moves towards her menacingly!
But often pauses confusingly.
E-E starship moves zippingly!
And parks above the hut encryptingly.

Frankenstein stops directly in front of her overhangingly,
And raises his knife high threateningly!
Bear opens the floor-hatch preparingly,
And readies the carbon-flex ladder to drop daringly!

Frankenstein slashes his knife down Amelia's back!
And cuts her ties and not her in one whack.
She opens the window way more than a crack;
And says, “It's open! And with that knife you've a knack”.

Sadsack explains to Amelia the plan:
“We can lower the ladder just about
Right in front of the window where you can
Reach it and grab it to pull yourself out”.

“But we need to buy you time to escape;
We need Frankenstein out of commission;
Which means massively confuse his cloudscape,
So he's frozen in process cognition”.

“What do you have in mind?”
“Use random brain find; like the first thing to bind to mind;
“How about: 'Why overstay overlay in a mystery play on Saturday if a cosmic ray on DNA is potter's clay in an eightfold way to a manta ray?'”

“OK, he's frozen in byplay!”
“We've dropped the ladder; crawl out the window partway and grab it!”
“Payday! I've got it!”
“OK, Sea's moving E-E starship to pull you away! Hold strong!”
“Nooooo!”
“What's wrong?!”
“It's a NO GO!”
“Animate the JPEG!”
“He's grabbed my leg!”

The Sorry Saga of Sadsack Salmon
(continued 29)
A Diabolical Dialogue

From his pentaplex fifth-floor control complex, Colonel Psychopath leers,
Condemning through satanic sneers!
“I have turned loose into the world a depraved wretch,
Whose delight is in your carnage and misery;
This miserable epoch that dates all your woes will etch,
Now your souls in whiz hurry!”

Roaring down the mountainside unstoppably, the screeching avalanche nears,
Screaming with omnipotent fears!
“Loosed into your world is a giant snowballs catch,
Whose plight is your awe and history;
This epoch that dates all your woes is merely nature's sketch,
And not vengeance for some mystery”.

Sadsack and the ninja soon face certain death, as the wall of snow rears,
And E-E starship violently veers!
“The ninja and I have been loosed into nature's powerful best,
By a psychopath hell bent on his own egocentricity;
This miserable epoch that dates all our woes is at the behest,
Of carnage and misery wrapped in a satanic theocentricity.”

Her fate is as Frankenstein's malefic mate, Amelia horridly hears,
Helping Sea who daringly steers!
“Sea”, Amelia's voice comes through her ear comm device,
“I'm tied up for his carnage and misery delight;
So I'll quickly instruct you and keep it concise,
As requires this miserable epoch dating our blight.”

Sea focuses, listens intently to Mom, and at the laplet blears,
Fighting back those unwelcome tears!
In a plunging forward dive,
She looses E-E starship into propeller overdrive!
Aiming for Sadsack's wide wave,
Through the mist Sea jockeys propellers as the hugely brave!

Psychopath howls:
“You will find yourselves fettered to grief,
Weighed down by horror,
And your delete,
In an on and on forever worn despair!”

The avalanche yowls:
Thundering like a rent massif!
Laid under the roarer,
And under their feet,
The ice cracks in an anon and ever torn nightmare!

The glacier shakes; the ninja growls:
“Psychopath fettered to no relief,
Paying the abhorer,
'Till he's dead meat;
This I declare!”

He's here; Amelia scowls:
“My time alone was all too brief;
I'm the ignorer,
In my retreat;
It's stealth warfare!”

With E-E starship speeding, Sea prowls:
Then slam reverses propellers to a hovering motif;
Bear opens the floor-hatch explorer;
Sadsack and the ninjas' climb-in is complete;
And E-E starship's off to find Frankenstein's hut somewhere.

The Sorry Saga of Sadsack Salmon
(continued 28)
Avalanche!

“The ninja and I are as frozen as the glacier under our feet;
Time's death seems nearly complete.
I talk through the comm device but fear I'll never be heard;
Dead as time is my afterword.
The depraved wretch delights in making carnage and misery rife,
All we love lost to his strife,
Amelia never my wife,
SeaGull and Bear passed from life”.

But time never stands still;
Reality has its own will;
And Frankenstein's here for the kill!
Bounding over crevices in the ice,
Hunting knife in hand ready for the slice!

With gun aimed at his eyes,
Sadsack stands firmly ready to send him his byes.
The ninja's to the wide,
Ready to attack the monster from the side.
With one final bound,
Frankenstein stops in front ready to pound.

"Devil! Fiend that thou art!" Sadsack exclaims,
"Do you dare approach me as my gun aims?
And do not you fear the boundless rage
Of my arm wreaked on your miserable cage?
What have you done with Amelia, vile insect?!
Answer! Before I trample you to dust reject!"

“Amelia?! Your precious Amelia is now mine!
And she will not deny herself to her Frankenstein,
For as I'm, she'll be deformed, horrible and malign!”

"Abhorred monster! Wretched devil!" Sadsack screams!
And he fires two shots, that bounce off his eyes, it seems;
The ninja springs at him but is easily eluded by his schemes!

Frankenstein raises his massive knife into the sky,
And with a mighty slash comes straight down on Sadsack from up high!
But the ninja slams himself into the monster's side,
And saves Sadsack's life by sending the fiend into a slide.
This causes the ninja to fall seesaw,
Into a deep crevice in the ice where death is certain!
But not before Sadsack grabs his forepaw,
And stops the drawing of the ninja's final curtain!

However, death for both is now seconds away,
As the ninja hangs in the crevice's sway,
Held by Sadsack's grip that cannot give way,
While Frankenstein stands watching their dismay,
Ready to send both without delay,
Plummeting to their icy doomsday!

Frankenstein raises his knife to start,
And slams it down through Sadsack's heart,
With both falling deep into the crevice and off chart!

And that's how it should have occurred!
But simultaneously was an explosion and everything was blurred!
The smoke is now clearing around,
And beside Sadsack is Frankenstein's knife in the ground.

With a huge amount of relief,
Sadsack pulls the ninja out and they sit in disbelief,
Until into their view appears:
E-E starship! A sight that brings mega colossal cheers!
And on the comm device is Sea,
“Dad, I turned all power off in the starship accidentally;
And finally Bear figured it out, I think transcendentally.
Gull shot Frankenstein with the laser gun;
And I can see him in the distance limping in his run”.

As they all look at Frankenstein, he glances back but doesn't dwell;
Then he turns toward a mountainside rising above the glacier and snow-packed well;
And he lets out a thunderous yell!

Avalanche! And Sadsack and the ninja are directly in its way!
Then on the comm device Amelia's voice is heard to say:
“Sea, I'm hooked up now, still tied up in Frankenstein's hut, but I can help you save Salmon and the ninja right away”.

...I suddenly beheld the figure of a man, at some distance, advancing towards me with superhuman speed. He bounded over the crevices in the ice...
    "Devil," I exclaimed, "do you dare approach me? And do not you fear the fierce vengeance of my arm wreaked on your miserable head? Begone, vile insect! Or rather, stay, that I may trample you to dust!"
    "Abhorred monster! Fiend that thou art! The tortures of hell are too mild a vengeance for thy crimes. Wretched devil!"
    My rage was without bounds; I sprang on him, impelled by all the feelings which can arm one being against the existence of another.
    He easily eluded me...
From Chapter 16:
"At length I wandered towards these mountains, and have ranged through their immense recesses, consumed by a burning passion which you alone can gratify. We may not part until you have promised to comply with my requisition. I am alone and miserable; man will not associate with me; but one as deformed and horrible as myself would not deny herself to me. My companion must be of the same species and have the same defects. This being you must create."

Sea cries, “I don't know how to kill the power!”

Sadsack attempts to get through:
“Sea!... Sea!... I need to talk to you”;
Finally, “Dad, what are we going to do?!”

“Sea, you and only you have the ability to find a solution;
It's your disability that's preventing execution.
Your disability is your panic overwhelm.
Repeat what I say, to put your ability at the helm,
So you can then focus, in the resolution realm:”

This Is About My Ability!

Focus! Focus! Focus!
I must focus on my ability!
And I will let no disability
Become an inability,
Whether it's attacks on my capability
Or issues of my vulnerability.
No hocus-pocus locus can ever hold me back,
And I will never give up or give in to slack!
Focus! Focus! On my ability,
Not my disability!
I distance distractions from me
Because this is not about me.
This is all about my ability!
Focus! Focus! On my ability!

“Okay, Sea, now focus on your ability,
To find a solution that has feasibility,
And tell me if you need help with solvability”.

“Dad, I did it! I found where to control propeller adjustability,
And I can now change their power and direction with reliability”.

“Good, Sea! I hope you found helpful the 'this is not about me' part;
That concept helped me a lot in my 'Who Loves You?' past lonely start,
When I dealt with greedy corp CSOs (where 'S' is a 4-letter word),
And the minions they commanded to treat me as this Western's bad guy - Absurd!
They were the Western's good guys, seeking truth, justice and the American way;
Well it may have been the American way, but truth and justice died in the fray!

The attacks of the CSOs and their minions filled me with horrible dread;
A lesser I would have been overwhelmed with depression and dead.
But I kept reminding myself that this isn't about me – heaven forbid it should!
In other words, I was trying to accomplish something for the higher good.

So I detached myself from the attacks on me
By reminding myself that this is not about me,
And I focused completely on using my abilities to break free”.

    The ninja and I are now ascending to the summit of Montanvert, Sea, and we'll meet you there;
    The ascent is precipitous, but the path is cut into continual and short windings, which enable us to surmount the perpendicularity of the mountain with care.

    However, the path, as we ascend higher, is intersected by ravines of snow, down which stones continually roll from above;
    And a large stone just passed by and nearly knocked the ninja off the mountain with some deadly tough love!

    The ravine of snow we're about to cross now seems particularly dangerous, as the slightest sound, such as even speaking in a loud voice, will produce a concussion of air sufficient to draw destruction upon our heads;
    ...We finally made it! I spoke not a word while crossing for fear it would be the last heard of our treads;
    It is a scene terrifically desolate. In a thousand spots the traces of the winter avalanche may be perceived, where trees lie broken and strewed on the ground, some entirely destroyed, nearly as if in shreds;
    Others are bent, leaning upon the jutting rocks of the mountain or transversely upon other pine trees, which are not tall or luxuriant and add a sombre air of severity to this scene of dreads.

    We are now upon the rock that overlooks the sea of ice. A mist is covering both that and the surrounding mountains so we can't see E-E starship anywhere.
    Presently a breeze is dissipating the cloud, and we are descending upon the glacier. E-E starship, are you out there?!
    The surface is very uneven, rising like the waves of a troubled sea, descending low, and interspersed by rifts that sink deep. E-E starship, you're giving us a scare!
    We are crossing the field of ice trepidatiously; it's almost a league in width, but we can't see you, E-E starship, even with intense stare!
    Suddenly we behold the figure of a man, at some distance, advancing towards us with superhuman speed. E-E starship, where are you?! You've way crossed our panic line!
    He's bounding over the crevices in the ice, among which we had walked with caution, nearly reaching us; it's Frankenstein!
    E-E starship! Bear, Sea, Gull, one of you! Give us a sign!
TBC

Editing Note: I changed "A lesser me" to a "A lesser I" 7 1/2 hours after I originally posted. I woke up this morning with 4 hours sleep after having worked 17 hours straight on this poem yesterday, and I realized I had messed up the case. I'm sure I've made other errors over the 27 of these I've written so far. And maybe that section of the poem was a mess up itself, but I need to vent my justified anger somehow! All of you who have read my book "The Legend of Mighty Mabel" need to know (or certainly do know but won't tell me the truth - which makes this a freedom of speech issue!) that I have not been paid a cent for any of them! I'm tired now and not yet awake, so perhaps I'm messing up the mess up, but at this point in the morning and in my life, I DON'T GIVE A F***! I'M NOT THE BAD GUY IN THIS WESTERN!

    The ideas that I expressed through Sadsack in that poem are largely taken from the autistic/special-needs community as expressed by Dani Bowman in the following video, which I previously posted in Sadsack 23:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=725799650773832&stream_ref=10
These are some of the statements she made in the video:
We are autistic, not less.
It's just a different way of thinking; that is all.
Everyone is different, and the acceptance of those differences is so very important for everyone.
Focus on your ability not your disability;
Also always never give up, and follow your dream.
Focus! Focus! Focus!
Don't get distracted, so you never let anything hold you back.

    I currently have 3 or 4 time-consuming projects I'm multitasking and must, sadly, be selective about how closely I follow someone. I attempt to catch things Dani Bowman posts that I think will be of general interest, but other things I skip over, so my poem attribution may be incomplete.

Philadelphia Zoo lets tigers stretch legs on trail
“In Philadelphia, the zoo has meshed... two concepts — travel and timeshare. Lions, tigers, pumas, jaguars and leopards already rotate among five exhibits. Now, they'll take turns using Big Cat Crossing.
The zoo plans to extend and connect all three trails, though species will use them separately. So when it's too cold for orangutans to be outside, cats can use their trail, said Baker. Hooved animals like rhinos and giraffes also will get to travel.”

The Sorry Saga of Sadsack Salmon
(continued 26)
Mont Blanc!

The ninja and I are passing the bridge of Pelissier, where the ravine...
Another lightning flash! And in an instant the unseen
Become abominable monsters devouring the pristine!

“Sea, what have you learned of the E-E starship routine?
Every line in the novel describing the serene,
Degrades our situation deeper into the obscene!”

“Dad, Mom taught me how to heat and cool the air,
To go up and down using... avionics ware?
But if I use propellers, then in a circle we tear!”

“Sea, on the laptop you need to run the correct STEMware,
Which are Universal User Interfaces, the eyewear,
That always run regardless of OS updates fanfare.
And thankfully we're past the dark ages of cloudware,
When, despite all devices gaining in powerware,
Simple apps such as word processing and artware,
Ran in clouds by corps trying to stay in businessware.
No clouds down here, and NO DINOWARE!
POWER TO THE PEOPLE! I DECLARE!”

“Now, Sea, let's get you going on the STEMware;
Mom certainly already has it running somewhere,
So hover over the laplet icon labeled Runware,
While the ninja and I continue on our journey nightmare.”

We are where the ravine, which the river forms, opens before us;
And a faint rumble! Not cloud thunder; and we're nonplus!
“Sea, did you solve the STEMware fuss?”

“Yes, Dad, I found a UUI for all the avionics and some plus.”

We're beginning to ascend the mountain that overhangs the ravine;
And now we're entering the valley of Chamounix where in between...
Avalanche! We hear the rumbling thunder of the falling avalanche,
And mark the smoke of its passage and the unheard crack of the pine branch.

“Sea, we're heading into avalanche country and need a ride;
We think flying is better than being swept off the mountainside.
Where are you at in the avionics STEMware applied?”

“Dad, I need a little more time to test stuff that's still untried.”

Here in the valley of Chamounix, the high and snowy mountains are its immediate boundaries to the sky;
And immense glaciers approach the road nearby.

Mont Blanc, supreme and magnificent Mont Blanc, thou hast raised thyself,
From the surrounding aiguilles, and thy tremendous dome overlooks the valley itself.

“Dad, I've got E-E starship way up in the air;
And it's no longer going in that circles scare;
It's flying straight with no err!”

“Great! Sea, according to the 'Frankenstein' novel, we need to be somewhere near the Montanvert summit;
You'll have to meet us there because the mountainside we're ascending is so precipitous someone might plummet.”

“Dad, I have a runaway horse!
We're heading straight toward Mont Blanc full force!
And I can't figure out how to change course!”
