I had just an AWESOME time in the gym, today!
When I say 'gym,' I mean my buddy's upstairs spare bedroom where we keep our dumbbells & pullup bar. I recently bought the dip station accessory, so my triceps are DONE!
The biggest thing holding my down right now is just the utterly confusing topic of NUTRITION!!! I mean, that stuff is just down right daunting and intimidating. While I understand the differences between the macronutrients (and I even have a firm grip on the portions I need to reach my weight goals), I struggle with identifying foods that fit into the different categories.
As an example: tonight, my family & I had chicken fettuccine Alfredo & garlic bread. Is this, or is this not, healthy food??? (See? Confused!)
The one thing I have going for me, however, is just raw power. I have 24% body fat, so pretty much any activity will get me results - but I want optimal results. And I really feel like nutrition is holding me back. Ah whatever. It just takes dedication and passion - I am confident I can figure out the food part of it.
But here is my log for today - it was killer. and I didn't stretch properly, so I will be sore as hell tomorrow. But man was it ever fun! I really enjoy body-weight exercises, and I hold in higher regard body-weight practitioners than I do people on weights & machines. (I just do, okay?! lol)
