A thought

Here is a thought I had on weaponry wilst watching murder she wrote. Stress is not done based directly on shifts over the target number. Stress is based on weapon status, modified by success level.

Light weapon: does one stress on a success. On success with style it does three stress.
medium weapon: does two stress on a success, five on success with style.
Heavy weapon: does three stress on success and six on success with style.

You could alter this as you like(weapon types, martial style, whatever).

This basically gives you a few more moving parts to fiddle with.
