This 80 kW array is installed at the Kentucky National Guard's new Army Aviation Support Facility. The array utilizes a ballast mounting solution meaning no penetrations of the large, flat roof surface. The 10 degree module tilt allows the solar modules to quickly shed dirt, debris, and snow - ensuring power production in sunny conditions. An array this size will provide roughly enough energy for 10 typical Kentucky homes.

Please help us create sensible Federal solar policy. Tell your elected officials that solar energy is on the cusp of revitalizing our nation's power supply and that you are interested in supporting the extension of the solar investment tax credit:

Why don't all barns look like this?

The nearby residence is benefiting from 16 kilowatts of newly installed solar power.  The array will offset most of the property's energy consumption, reducing electric bills to near Zero.

The most satisfying part of a solar install may be receiving your next electric bill...

'A Long Held Dream'
28 years ago when the delightful owners of this house just off River Road in Louisville, Debbie & Greg built the property they planned (way way) ahead and included all the copper piping required to one day add Solar Hot Water. Earlier this year when they put a new roof on the day to act finally arrived.....and for many good reasons they went with PV instead!
Yesterday we completed a 7.32 kW system using some of our latest tech; 24 x 305W TrinaSmart panels which have optimizers and rapid disconnects built into the junction box on the back of the panel. With these you get better output under shaded conditions, more cost effective installs plus critically compliance to KY's new 2014 electric codes. Oh and they also continuously communicate to the web via Wi-Fi so you can see how your array is performing each and every minute of the (sunny) day! SES is always searching for the most innovative and highest reliability components to offer to our residential and commercial clients; part of being the solar leader in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
Oh and I also could not help smiling when the electrical inspector came along; approved the system without any issues and then asked if we could arrange a solar power electrical class for him and his colleagues as our electricians clearly knew what they were doing. Praise indeed. Now we just need some sun.

This ground mount array was recently finished outside Owensboro, KY.  The 10 kW array is capable of producing as much energy as the average home utilizes in a day.  This array includes quality Trina modules, Solectria inverter, and one temporary shade obstruction.
