Its the Council HQ, so naturally its a great place to find things. I've found most of the staff to be helpful, friendly, and customer service-oriented. In fact, one time when I had ordered an out of stock patch which hadn't arrived as expected, one employee took up the issue and hand-delivered it to my doorstep a couple of days later; talk about above and beyond! The Scout Shop was once a challenging place to bring your kids, but the layout of the store has been significantly updated to improve line-of-sight and create a more spacious feel: no small benefit while you are trying to find the 'needle-in-the-haystack' patch or award. My boys love to come and check out all the cool gear and books, keeping them occupied for as long as I need.

Spectacular building, magnificently sited. A great tribute to the Cache Valley and the faith of its people. The interior is ready for another (and better) renovation. I wish the city would have constructed a grand boulevard leading up to it, but Cache Valley government has historically had a gift for walking away from good ideas.

I keep going back for the food, but the noise is deafening. It wouldn't hurt to have at least one table set up for my family of 6; I know we aren't the only ones out there.

My experiences echo the previous reviews. Wanting to support local business, I came in to have a patch sewn and they offered to do it that day. When I returned at the appointed time to pick it up, it wasn't done. Fortunately they quickly rectified the situation. The second time I brought by a patch to be sewn, they scheduled it out for a few days. Anybody whose been there in the store knows the place is dead all the time. Why they weren't willing to sew it on the spot is beyond me. When I came back to pick up, it wasn't done; not even touched. Needless to say, they won't be wasting my time again.
