Well isn't this a handy read right about now.

Help me help you!

My advice on negotiating a job offer, based on 8 years of hiring at Google.

Haven't been looking, but an opportunity has come up that I'm entertaining.  Not really "negotiating" anything right now.  It's more an issue of deciding where I want to be in 5-10 years.

Fascinating discovery but the article would be less interesting without the comments on it. Read the article and the comments for some great scientific theory being put to debate.

It was Albert Einstein, no less, who proposed more than 100 years ago that nothing could travel faster than the speed of light.

Come on Google, Give me social radio. Turntable.fm is one of my favorite new things. To be able to play music for friends to listen in on, listen to beats my friends are spinnin up or even make new friends as I check out different rooms (channels). Google Music needs to join Google+ in a world of shared musical adventures.

Mind-blowing minecraft server where these guys have been replicating Middle Earth. Hop to 13:53 for Bree, 22:33 for Weathertop, 26:00 for the marshes, 28:20 for Rivendell, 33:10 for Moria. When you get to 33min, just keep watching. It gets more and more mind boggling.

Casual but efficient
Ate here a couple times on a recent business trip. Space was a little cramped since it's a fairly small establishment. But the fish was very fresh and portion sizes were great for the price. My friend ordered a bento box with chicken and beef instead of his california roll and found himself with more food than he could eat. Great value for the price and would highly recommend to anyone that they check it out.

Visited this El Torito twice while in town on a business trip. We were greeted immediately upon walking in the door and seated right away. The wait staff was extremely attentive and we even chatted about work and that I grew up in CA but was now living out of state (sadly, with no El Torito around). Food was excellent as I always remembered. Why nobody in Colorado that I've found sells corn cake (also known as spoon bread to some) I will never understand. I could eat an entire plate of that stuff. I've always loved El Torito and these two recent trips continue to establish them as my favorite chain Mexican restaurant of all time.

Best Vietnamese in Colorado Springs. In a city dominated by chains and inauthentic food, Saigon Cafe offers an excellent balance of atmosphere with delicious food. The Hanoi Chicken Wing appetizer is excellent. Such a great sweet and spicy sauce. I often get the combo noodle bowl. Fresh veggies and a delicious mix of meats makes for a great lunch or dinner. The lemon grass soup is my remedy any time I start to get a cold or sore throat. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great vietnamese food in a town not known for it's authentic cultural experiences.

Some of the best Thai food in Colorado Springs. I almost always get the Pad Thai hot, but that can mean different things sometimes. I've had it hot enough I could barely finish the meal and other times its just got a good bite. Always extremely delicious though. Curries and yakitori are excellt as well.

Having eaten at numerous Brazilian steakhouses in a number of states, I found Espetus to be lacking for the price. For $50 I would have expected meat cooked properly, more fresh sides and a salad bar to remember. The "filet mignon" was actually the tenderloin side muscle and was cooked 'well' without an ounce of red or pink in it. All the other beef cuts were 50/50 from medium well to well. The chicken sausages and drumsticks were delicious. The salad bar had some tasty treats but about half of it was pre-mixed stuff. Sides were refreshed upon request and the cheesy bread was delicious while the fried polenta was almost all over-cooked and had the flavor of old frying oil. My friend and I had the Brazilian limeade and while asked a few times if we wanted refills, were never told that the refills were not free. Water refills were prompt and we never felt unattended to. All in all it was a tasty meal but seemed more on par with a $35 Brazilian steakhouse than $50. I would go to Texas Roadhouse or Fogo de Chao in a heartbeat for the money and probably wouldn't go back to Espetus unless it was for a cheaper lunch.

I've been going to China Village since before I lived in Colorado Springs and LOVE it. Some of the best Chinese food in town. Best hot and sour soup I've had anywhere in Springs yet. Staff can seem a bit dry to some but that's just cause they treat everyone like family so they comfortable with you quick. If you're looking for good food and a casual atmosphere this is a great place. Get to know the staff and it goes up a notch. As regulars, a co-worker and I could go in and not even need a menu and they would bring our drinks and food right out. Highly recommend China Village.

Decent cheaper alternative to Fogo de Chao or Texas de Brazil. Not quite as upscale. This location did not have lamb despite their online menu. I don't believe they have filet on the menu either but the Tri Tip and Top Sirloin were tasty. The salad bar was a big disappointment. All the salads were pre-mixed and soggy. One person in our party enjoyed the Rodizio salad, but other than that it was not at all appealing. Service for our party of 8 was excellent. Very attentive to the meats we were looking for. I would definitely recommend it but if you are looking for the dining experience of a lifetime I would still have to suggest Fogo de Chao or Texas de Brazil and deal with the extra cost.
