Just spotted this - scary stuff, but it  reminded me of the marks on Belethor's General Goods in Whiterun - life imitating art imitating life?

An oldie but goldie

Some of you may remember this - a #LEGO System ad from 1981 with Tommy "just like that" Cooper doing the voice over. This pretty much sums up why LEGO is so awesome.

How much would it cost to live like Sherlock Holmes?

With Season 3 all but here, here's a little something to whet your appetite - this infographic looks at how much 221B Baker Street is worth, and how much stuff Sherlock and John carry around with them.

Did you know? 221B Baker Street has about £16,000 worth of high-value items, including a £3,000 worth of violins and £1,500 worth of sleuthing gear.

There are also some case files showing some of the mishaps that have happened at the flat over the past 2 seasons (including the infamous stolen red cardigan).

Enjoy! The full infographic is at:

Saturday night, Whovians and Sherlockians alike got a taste of awesome

Which do you think had the biggest response, Peter Capaldi's eyebrows or Martin Freeman's moustache?

I'm posting the same question on the Doctor Who community to see which gets more love.

Do me proud, fellow Sherlockians!

So after a week, Watson's moustache is in the lead with +34 against Capaldi's +26. That's a turn up for the books. You guys rock :)

Quite possible the most polite response to a #burglary I've ever seen

"Dear Burglars,

Thanks for popping by the other night and we're sorry we didn't have more for you to take.

As you now know, we don't have particularly expensive tastes so there's no need to come in again, unless you would like to take my collection of VHS videos and cassettes - Dan is very disappointed you didn't take these first time round.

If you would like them just knock on the front door and ask - no need to break another patio door as it's dreadfully hard work cleaning up all the glass.

Thanks for all the finger prints - we really appreciated those.

Lots of love

Kate and Dan xxx"

Kudos to both of them for having a humoured reaction to what is a pretty invasive event.

There's been a lot of debate around the office about the new direction of Season 3.

I'm in the camp that loves the focus on the relationship between Sherlock and John post-Fall, and the more comedic episodes 1 and 2 look to be a contrasting build up to what should be a very dark final episode.

Some others seem to prefer the "case of the week" episode structure and feel that this new turn for Sherlock is a bit slow and disjointed.

What are your thoughts?

I'm mixed... I don't want the show to become "big." It can become too clever and lose the intimacy that it had...but I also like the growth that is taking place. I like knowing that Sherlock has feelings and because of John, he is comfortable in bringing them out...though he put his armor back on after the wedding... I like my Sherlock damaged

Well, it's safe to say that The Empty Hearse was a slice of fried gold!

I'll need to update the infographic once season three is all done and dusted, but in the meantime I think it covers most things -

Today one of the guys at the office had a birthday  - I got him some jelly babies, a pack of jammie dodgers and a fez - good choices?

I rewatched The Great Game over the weekend. I forgot how awesome Moriarty's big entrance was. Gave me chills.

I can't help but think he lost someone very close to him (Sebastion??) and thats why he gets so mad during that sentence (mood swings much)
Never the less Moriarty is my favorite bad guy in all history.
