Quite possible the most polite response to a #burglary I've ever seen

"Dear Burglars,

Thanks for popping by the other night and we're sorry we didn't have more for you to take.

As you now know, we don't have particularly expensive tastes so there's no need to come in again, unless you would like to take my collection of VHS videos and cassettes - Dan is very disappointed you didn't take these first time round.

If you would like them just knock on the front door and ask - no need to break another patio door as it's dreadfully hard work cleaning up all the glass.

Thanks for all the finger prints - we really appreciated those.

Lots of love

Kate and Dan xxx"

Kudos to both of them for having a humoured reaction to what is a pretty invasive event.

Car insurance prices are down for drivers in #Scotland  !

Today I'm over at +watchmy wallet, taking a look at which regions in the UK are enjoying the biggest reductions in their premium compared to last year.

Take a look and see how your city fares!

With the news that car insurance prices have risen for 17-20 year old female drivers compared to last year, a good female-focused driving community is always welcome. MyCarGossip is one of those :)

Just one more block, just one more block, just one more block

Feeding the collective obssession of the Internet +Ordnance Survey have created a version of the OSMap of Great Britain in #Minecraft.

Well, there goes another 3 months of my life, at least. I want to recreate #Cardiff  Castle in the exact same spot as Cardiff IRL.

My vote goes with toys. Nothing beats building a castle out of Lego, not even a shiny round of Angry Birds.

Should parents stop kids using tech in favour of traditional toys?

In a world where our kids are becoming more tech-savvy at a younger age, father-of-one Chad Thomas wonders whether kids are spending too much time with gadgets and not enough time with traditional toys.

Are smartphone and tablet apps giving our children the same mental stimulation as building blocks, or are they swiping away at the screen without gaining any benefit from it?

Tech vs. toys for children: Which is best?

Can't say no to #LEGO   - and those Ferraris look amazing!

#win  LEGO Ferarris (two of my favourite things in one!)
Shell customers can collect a range of six limited-edition mini LEGO model Ferrari cars when they purchase £30 or more of Shell's performance fuel Shell V-Power Nitro+, each car is just £1.49. Shell V-Power Nitro+ Unleaded and Shell V-Power Nitro+ Diesel are two fuels introduced earlier this ...

How Mo can you Grow?

Fellow Mo'Bros and Mo'Sistas unite; #Movember  is upon us!

I'm 4 days into my Mo', but it's nothing but stubble for now. Shaving my beard off is the hardest thing I have to do each year, but it's all for a good cause.

I don't know what kind of 'tash I should go for, though. Any thoughts?

Today I'm over at +MyCarGossip where I take a look at the ongoing impact of the EU Gender Directive on the car insurance premiums of 17-20 females compared to their male peers.

The results may shock you.

A watch that predicts how long you have left to live, and ticks away the seconds towards your demise

The #Kickstarter  campaign for Tikker has already hit nearly 3 times its goal, and there's still 2 weeks to go.

The makers of Tikker said,

"Tikker is a wrist watch that counts down your life from years to seconds, and motivates you to make the right choices. Tikker will be there to remind you to make most of your life, and most importantly, to be happy.

But it's not really about how much time you HAVE, it's what you DO with it. A week spent in love and happiness can be worth more than years spent in agony."

I suppose it gives a new meaning to the phrase "make every second count".

I wonder how it would impact your life insurance policy if you knew (with any degree of certainty) when you were going to die?

Nifty infographic from +RED Driving School for young drivers, inspired by the release of #GTAV

Fun fact: 65% of young drivers are keen to adopt black box tech if it means a reduction in their insurance premiums. Worries of a 'nanny state' aren't as powerful as the potential for a discount.

Nothing suits me like a suit!

Today is Power Dress Friday in the office, so everyone on the team has suited up. We're all looking pretty dapper, if I do say so myself. Barney Stinson would be proud.
