This place is a Coconut Grove staple witb good reason. You can't beat the seafood offerings here. Their conch chowder and conch are must haves. Surprisingly, this place can house multitudes of people as it is large. They also have signature drinks. Definitely a place for the family or to come and lounge on a weeknight or during the weekend.

I've been visiting Monty's restaurant for years with my family. I always recommended it as a good place to eat and enjoy with your family. But today I had the most awful experience there. I have been discriminate by the manager Lori Paul, because my two girls (3 and 4 years old) were playing around our table and she want them to be seat. We had paid the check already when she approached us to say that if can not have the girls sit down quietly we had to leave. My girls were standing on a fence watching the boats and the manager got upset and pick up everything from our table and threatened us to call the police if we don't leave. I wish I could meet the owner of the restaurant to let him know that that manager has been very rude and we are very disappointed with the treatment there.

Ducked in for some basketball and some cold drinks with friends and did not have the best experience. Our bar-tending staff was abrupt, distracted, and marginally discourteous. Very disappointing because I've patronized the joint for years and have become accustomed to better from Monty's. Our 4-person party cut our visit short and took our business to Duffy's and ate and drank there.

I have been loyal to monty's before it's renovations. I was taken there by my father and now I take my children. I loved it then as I love it now. You are truly disconnected and time seems to seize.The music, the food, and the views will have you coming back for more. Thank you Monty's................

The servers were kind and although it was busy, made an impeccable effort to help out and pay attention to my table, which included my wonderful, kind senior citizen parents who came all the way down from Alaska for a weekend to enjoy Miami culture. However, our experience was ruined by Laurie (the bar manager) and her repulsive attitude. Since the restaurant/our waiter was so busy, I went up to the bar to order a Long Island Iced Tea. I am a 21-year old woman, and although I showed Laurie a legitimate, brand-new United States passport, she scoffed and asked me for "an ID that looked like me". When I responded, appalled at this awful woman's attitude with "That's my literal passport", she decided to refuse me and my family service and ejected me from the restaurant. As a person who's spent years working in retail and customer service, I cannot believe the disrespect I endured at the hands of Laurie. My mother and father are kind and sweet people who just wanted to experience Miami with me for an afternoon/evening. I am so humiliated at the effort that Laurie took to eject me from the premises just because she didn't think my passport looked enough like me. I sincerely hope that this awful woman will be reprimanded by her superiors for her terrible attitude and for ruining what was supposed to be a wonderful family event. I urge you all to avoid Monty's at all costs when this woman is involved. I am incredibly offended and hope that the owners of this otherwise great bar and restaurant make the effort to teach this awful woman to treat customers with kindness and respect.

Premium beers were undrinkable. Mahi sandwich served on a hotdog bun. Don't plan on returning.

Poor service, dishes recyclable, plastic forks and prices almost the same like Cheesecake. Food is bad (tomatoes and salad not fresh) ... Calamary the worst I ever tasted... Server with NO experience... We were a table of 12 ppl the server wasn't able to split the check... The manager could not do anything... If you want to spent a good time and a wonderful landscape go to the Panorama Restaurant in the Sonesta Hotel!!!
