It's been a while since we've done an evening webcast. This should be fun! What's your favorite memory from one of our live webcasts? For me, I think it was the time that +Scott Kelby switched places with me on The Grid and had to moderate the comments. That, and our very first NAPP-a-thon. So much fun!! =)
Win a free +NAPP membership (or renewal) every minute on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30pm EST during our non-stop Photoshop NAPP-a-thon with +Scott Kelby, +Matt Kloskowski, +RC Concepcion, +Corey Barker, and +Pete Collins
*RSVP to enter to win and get an event reminder at: http://photoshopuser.com/webcasts/ *

With the addition of full-length classes and the ability to join +Adobe Creative Cloud without the prior CS version requirement, it's easy to see why NAPP is the place where everyone learns +Adobe Photoshop

Super excited to hear that +Glyn Dewis - pictured here with our UK +NAPP evangelist, +Dave Clayton (photo by +Alan Hess) will be on The Grid today! Glyn and +Matt Kloskowski will be discussing if there's money to be made in photography. ... And I'm sure there will be plenty of "Cheesy thumbs!" ;D See you in an hour at 4pm EST  http://kelbytv.com/thegrid/

+Darth Moser brings up a salient point. I would never have been able to accomplish the things I have accomplished here had I "perfected, polished, and refined." That would have eroded the "voice" I use in my social media approach (as well as the approach itself) ... and there'd be no such thing as an "International Ambassadress of Love." ;)
+Seth Godin writes today on his blog;
"Perfecting your talk, refining your essay and polishing your service until all elements of you disappear might be obvious tactics, but they remove the thing we were looking for: you."
A powerful thought to keep in mind as we strive to perfect our various workflows and practices!

Our COO +Darth Moser posted this yesterday... interesting food for thought. As part of the marketing wing of KMG, I'd like to think that what I do (marketing-wise) on social media works because our audience knows we do keep our promises. What are your thoughts?
If you don't follow +Seth Godin  your doing yourself a disservice.  Here is a snippit from todays post that hits home with those of us involved in marketing:
"If your marketing isn't working, it's either because your promises aren't useful (and big) enough or we don't believe you're the one to keep them."

So which is it?

In the 4+ years that I've been working at Kelby Media Group, the one question that would always make me cringe was when someone would contact me through social media and ask when the [insert any +KelbyTraining.com  LIVE seminar here] would be coming to [insert ~any~ town in the entire US here].
So, can I just say how INCREDIBLY HAPPY I am to see that we are now going to be offering our seminar tours as downloadable videos that come with all the materials you would receive if you were there?!?
Yes... Yes... Very happy indeed. =)

Amen! Thanks for sharing this +Darth Moser
I just wrote a long post for LinkedIn's launch of new social blogging features, which was inspired by watching a bunch of marketing folks trying to come to grips with the new rules of marketing via social media. It contains advice based on our history at +O'ReillyMedia.
