'6 star experience every-time' CL has my favorite "beverage-program" in town. You and a dozen friends want a nice bottle of armagnac or absinthe... They got you. Maybe a house made limoncello. Hungry? Don't stop at the a.w.e.s.o.m.e appetizers the entrees and deserts deserve your attention. The look and feel of Club Lucky is easy to be in for me and they go all out decorating for the holidays. The patio seating makes a few hours just breeze by. I have booked nearly a dozen dinners with 2-3 dozen folks and have been wowed with the attention paid to us before, during, and after. They even have worked up menus for us that are not "on the menu". (not that I could tire of the very thoughtful menu) Planning a special night or need one at the last second, Club Lucky has you covered.

Okay food. marinra is fish based, the server had no idea. Eric, the.cubby manager is rude and indifferent

Hello Mr. Woss - Thank you for taking the time to write this brief, and yet completely inaccurate review. Our marinara contains no fish, fish product, shellfish, bi-valves, roe, echinoderms, or medusozoa. Our recipe is a 50+ year old family recipe (prepared at Club Lucky for the last 26 years) and is as classic as a marinara comes: tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, olive oil, oregano, sugar, salt and pepper. That's it. NO fish. In regards to your service experience, I can only defend my server as having "no idea" because the information and questions you presented them must have dumbfounded them to their wits end. Fish in the marinara?! Lastly, Club Lucky currently employs no one by the name of Eric. And if we did, we aren't sure how to interpret your description of him as "cubby" as a reference to the Cubs, a Chicago North side baseball team, or as a misspelled adjective. Either way, your lack of fact(s) only proves that your review is careless and valueless. Mr. Woss, we would love for you to return, and if you so desire, try our fish-less marinara and to meet our managers in person. We hope that we can turn your 1-star lackluster review into something better. The martinis are well done, as is the wine selection. The Club Lucky salad is the best way to start the meal. That, and the bread. Generally stick with the ravioli or lasagna, but their other dishes are excellent as well.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to return to Club Lucky. The atmosphere is always fun and lively - which I love. Although I can't say that it's great for a first or second date when you're trying to get to know someone. My date and I were trying to talk over the music and the surrounding conversation. I don't know if the noise helped or hindered how the date was going ---- but that's another story. Anyway, the food is delicious as ever. If I wasn't on a date, I would have asked for more bread! We ordered the fried calamari and it was as good as I remembered. My entrée of choice was the handmade chicken tortellini in a red cream sauce. Simple but so tasty. Yum! I will definitely be back sooner than later (sans date)!
