Are we just a few years away from everyday tissue engineering?
Growing human organs in a few steps
Doris Taylor is in the vanguard of researchers looking to engineer entire new organs, to enable transplants without the risk of rejection by the recipient's immune system. The strategy is simple enough in principle. First remove all the cells from a dead organ — it does not even have to be from a human — then take the protein scaffold left behind and repopulate it with stem cells immunologically matched to the patient in need. Voilà! The crippling shortage of transplantable organs around the world is solved.

Today Docpoint is announcing an exciting referral program for patients
Doctor-patient relationships are a very important aspect of successful doctors.  Docpoint has matured a system that is very thoughtful when it comes to patients as well.  The proprietary
“Patient Linx” system keeps patients informed in real-time via SMS if your doctor is running late on schedule.  This gives them time to reorganize their schedule and arrive for their appointment.  .   Each of the patients will have a portal created with the ability to manage all aspects of their appointments. Patients will also have access to a dynamic page for their doctor which has details update in real time. This will keep them updated of recent events in the practice.

So if you think as a patient this sounds like the way you want to interact with your doctors then tell them about Docpoint. We made up a flyer you can print out and give to your doctor at your next visit. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7Sfv2Bq7xzhMEFXbVUzNXUxSnc/edit?usp=sharing

As a thank you for spreading the word When a doctor signs up with your referral (doctor gives your email address when signing up) Docpoint will give you the patient a $100 Gift Card and if the doctor stays with Docpoint for 6 months the referring patient gets an additional $250 Gift Card.
