EU plans to monitor air passenger data move closer
On 4 December 2015, a provisional deal was reached by European Parliament and European Council negotiators on an EU Directive which will regulate the collection and retention of the personal data of all airline passengers travelling in and out of the EU.

Revised changes to SIP 16
In our June seminars we discussed the Pre-Pack Pool and the proposed changes to SIP 16. The revision was recommended by Teresa Graham as part of her independent review into pre-packs in June 2014, and the new SIP 16 was introduced on 2 November 2015 to coincide with the launch of the Pre-Pack Pool.

Statutory Harbour Authorities should comply with the Port Marine Safety Code ("PMSC"). One of the recommendations of the PMSC is that Statutory Harbour Authorities without 'general powers of direction' should either secure such powers through a Harbour Revision Order ("HRO") or apply to be designated with powers of harbour direction.
