This is our go to spot for a post date-night cocktail in the valley. The appetizers are delicious (deviled egg, yum!) and the cocktails are well made. It's has a very dark and cozy, yet upscale, atmosphere that makes it a nice last stop of the night.

Outstanding establishment. Best in the Valley and one of the best restaurants in LA! So far I have been in Black Market 3 times. Tried approximately 2/3 of their dishes - there has not been a single one I would have regreted ordering. Yes, it is not a restaurant I go every night to but it is a reliable option every time I feel like having something delicious. I would say it is comparable to good restaurants of NYC

Great drinks not great service. When I arrived 2 people were standing at the host stand outside, a man and a woman. When I said hello the man ignored me and the woman answered her phone and walked away. I then spoke again and was still ignored, so I just walked inside. The bartenders were not super friendly or on top of it either. However, the drink I had was delicious. I had the son of a bee sting and yum!

Sunday after the 4th we went in here with some local friends. We went to sit inside, moved two bar stools, and were rudely instructed by the bartender to go have the hostess seat us. Place was nearly empty, maybe a birthday party outside. We asked where we could sit to order drinks and were again rudely brushed off again and told to talk to the hostess (who told us sitting anywhere near the bar was fine) so we went across the street and spent a few hundred there. Not worth wasting your time with the rude staff. Go across or down the street to another bar and enjoy your night without hassle.

Rude and condescending management They close when they feel like it-- not as hours posted. Because I tried to finish my drink by 1:45 (still before closing), manager told me as I left "Have a good life."

Great places for drinks and gastropub food! Very casual ambiance in a dimly lit setting. However, can be kind of loud and busy. Service is good. However, they don't take reservations. DRINKS: *Red, Hot and Bothered (jalapeno-infused vodka, strawberry, blood orange, agave, ginger beer) - Very good! I was very pleased with this drink. I love the fruity flavors and the jalapeno adds a nice bite/kick to the drink. Highly recommend! *Regatta Ginger Beer - Great! MENU: *Deviled quail eggs - tiny, bite-sized, and great flavor! Comes with 6 pieces. *Burrata with peach and prosciutto - We were given a big, generous chunk of burrata. Very soft and fresh. The prosciutto was very good. Tasted great with the slices of toast. *BBQ shortrib sliders with raisin fennel, arugula, confit tomato on brioche - AMAZING! You must try it! Probably my favorite item on the menu (so far). *Scallops - Perfect! They were grilled nicely and the flavor was amazing. Some of the best scallops I've had. *Meatballs - big and juicy, nice flavor with the marinara sauce, and the garlic toast added a nice crunch PARKING: -Valet $5 Great job Chef Antonia Lofaso and team! I would definitely come back. :)
