#TBT all the way to 2003, when I first saw the art that would become the cover of my first original book, STAYING DEAD. That was my favorite cover of all my work ever… until now. Now there’s maybe a new winner.  *g*

Novels/novellas: SILVER ON THE ROAD is copyeditor-bound. I hope to have ARCs soon, to maybe scatter among the deserving and talkative… (if you’re a blogger or otherwise loudmouthed in the industry and want one, email me!) WORK OF HUNTERS (Sylvan Investigations #3) is with the proofreader and from there into backer-edition production, huzzah! CLAWED (Gin …

Dear Kansas: replace "gay" with "black" or "female" or "white christian," and tell me again how this is acceptable behavior on the part of your governor - and by representation, yourself?
Kansas Republican Governor Sam Brownback stripped away protections from tens of thousands of LGBT state employees with one whisk of his pen today.

I wish I could say this man doesn't represent Kansas and Kansans... but yet he won the election, twice.  It makes me ashamed to be from Kansas.  I honestly don't know how the state can survive four more years of him.

Today’s WiP darling: “She had grown up in proximity to the devil; power had been as present in the air she breathed as the sulphured smoke from the blacksmith’s forge.” I may kill it later. But for now, we’re in love. :-) 2000 new words and I’m finally starting to feel, nearly 25,000 words in, …

Thanks and wow and neat,

Even though personally I think you thought too much.  :)
Of course they are your thoughts and life so think on them as much as you want,  :)
Last year I Indie Published a Urban Fantasy book-which just happens to be inspired by yours-and there are two groups-on somewhat large and one on the small side-of people in it. I decided to make the people diverse just because I wanted the groups to look like real life. In fact I may have gone a bit overboard with the diversity.

And speaking of your personal cultures(you do have a way with words there with that description) while I was growing up the people I hung with called the Heinz 57 source type of American.   And I like to say I am pure blooded American which means I have part of this in me, part of that, a tiny bit of something else.

I’m over at Charlie Stross’ place today, guest-blogging about writing American history that isn’t my history…. or is it? Meanwhile, the topic of that blog, SILVER ON THE ROAD, is starting to propagate pre-order links, although there’s no cover or copy available yet. Shall we see how high we can push it before they even give …

You know you’re a city dweller when… this morning at 7am there were individuals having a music party down in the not-an-alley* behind my building.  And my only thought was “not my choice of music, but not bad” rather than “these crazy kids why’re they blasting music at 7am on a Sunday?”  And then someone …

Intriguing topic.

But was that party new or had been going all night or two nights?

I might envy you being able to see all those public library reading rooms.

The rest of the post was interesting too.

1.  Reminder if you missed the earlier announcements: the #‎willwrite2feedothers story for 2015 went live! (but will only remain live for a limited time, so read now!) 2. A sporting thing happened here in town.  There was much swearing and sweating and triumphant heart attack honking and cheering.  If I’d had an actual emotional attachment to this …

Glad others didn't have my bad memory for this.
