As controversial as it is popular, Stencil Art is an ever-growing wing of the Street Art scene and the art form that propelled Banksy to superstardom.

Local artist Visual Waste has been turning heads with his street work and commercial work for the last couple of years, including his always ace work for Hit the North. This will be an entry level course for anyone with or without artistic training, and will give you the knowledge and skills to apply your own style and leave your mark on the world.

The course will cover
– Working with portraits, choosing images, and developing your sketch for stencilling
– Layering and cutting stencils
– Painting strategies, where and how to paint stencils

Since 2011 Visual Waste has worked with a broad range of clients from painting caravans for Northern Ireland Tourist Board, to working with global clients such as Jameson Whiskey and Dr Martens. Branding, murals, sign writing, urban art, graffiti art, bars, pubs, clubs, workshops, bedrooms, boats, planes, cars… there’s nothing Visual Waste won’t paint.
