Content marketing has infiltrated the marketplace.  From beverages to cars, marketers want to utilize a content marketing strategy that involves the consumer in telling a story about the product, how the product makes you feel, or the benefits of buying that product.  Real estate is a prime industry for this.  With legal contracts and terms like APR and full disclosure it can be hard to remember that buying a house is a big decision for many different people.  First-time home buyers, couples getting ready to have their first kid, and retirees looking to downsize all want to know that the buying experience will be personal.  This is where content marketing is key in this industry.

This one practice will not make you successful. In fact, in my experience in marketing, Grand Junction has shown that even by having a great image, you can turn consumers away if this is all you focus on. When I say image, I’m specifically talking about what people see when they visit your social media pages; the sights, the colors, the message. How you portray yourself on these sites will project your image before any future client shakes your hand. Internet companies especially have to maintain a respectable image because when you buy from a company online through their web design, you don’t meet them in person, but they can still give you the customer service you’re looking for just through their online image.

Before diving directly into this topic, let me reiterate the importance of a well-rounded content marketing strategy. Having a good image will do you little to no good if you don’t plan what your goals are in using social media. Effective strategies must include long-term thinking, regular distribution, and active engagement. Each of these play an important role when you are using social media to connect to customers.
