There they go again. Self-appointed food dictators like Michael Jacobson and David Ludwig somehow believe they have the right to decide for the rest of us what we should and shouldn't have. Author of new memoir FATLASH! Food Police & the Fear Of Thin - backlash of food restriction and child beauty pageants.
Karen Kataline is author of new memoir, FATLASH! Food Police & the Fear of Thin.

Based in part on Karen’s real-life experiences in child beauty pageants and the way in which some parents live vicariously through their children, FATLASH! Is a cautionary tale about the backlash that often results from regulating other people's diets (especially children).

The next time Mayor Bloomberg declares another food ban, you'll want to be armed with a few of the stories in this book.

The next time you hear that “Toddlers and Tiaras” is just a little harmless fun, you will want to hear from an adult who has been there.

Woven through this very personal story are Karen's unique perspectives and insights as a mental health professional and consultant.

Karen's true story reads like a novel and is for general audiences. Especially for women, parents of girls, it's a must-read!
