We went on a packed saturday night and lucked out with seats at bar. Bartender was fantastic despite how busy it was and even made us a custom drink. Food was equally as fantastic; we had a few small plates- sweet corn, spicy mussels and cauliflower- all delicious, corn was the best of the 3. Grilled lamb entree was the best- cooked to perfect med. rare and the spicy spinach and potato slices were a great compliment. Definitely going back soon.

I really want to like this place. It has the right location and vibe for a relaxed pre/post movie drink and snack. The bartenders and servers are super friendly, but good service simply can't make up for terrible food and drink. After a string of disappointing visits, I finally swore it off after the most recent one. First problem was that the place *reeked* of bleach. Second was insufficient knowledge of the menu, both content and prices. The bartender said they were out of an ingredient in the cocktail I ordered. Then I reminded him this particular drink didn't contain that ingredient. So he made the drink, but it came out nearly undrinkable, tasting entirely of alcohol without any of the lovely honey and grapefruit I was expecting. Then the bill listed a price $2 more than the menu price for the drink. Third and final problem was the food, as usual. My date ordered banana creme pie-- it came with a gummy crust, a weird bitter taste, and an unappetizing presentation. Like every food item we've tried here, completely disappointing. I wish you could live up to your potential, Happy's, but three strikes and you're out. :/

I headed out to Happy's one late night with some friends during a Sox game. It wasn't really that crowded but that part didn't bother me at all. The thing that I disliked was how there was a different menu when we ate. It was very limiting and I feel like I didn't get the full Happy's experience that I've read so much about. My BLT was tasty, nonetheless, but I'll have to go back during more normal hours to give a better review.

Came here for a pregame meet up of 8 friends. We were seated promptly. There was a long delay between the point we were ready to order and the point the waitress came to take our orders. Everyone said they enjoyed their plentiful meals, and they were quick to respond with extras we requested. We agreed we would eat here again.

I made a late night visit here with some new friends. I was surprised there weren't many people in the restaurant because the Sox were playing. Maybe it's because Happy's in the new kid on the block near Fenway? Their layout is nice and open with some nice art painted on the walls. I tried the fried calamari (Rhode Island style, hot cherry peppers, lemon and parsley). Sorry Happy's but I'm going to have to give this dish 2 thumbs down. The calamari wasn't fresh by New England standards. The sauce that came with it was mediocre. I tried a friends spicy buffalo chicken wing which was good and had just the right amount of kick. Unfortunately our waitress seemed...robotic and unfriendly. Maybe she had a long day? She didn't seem very happy to see us and I don't think she asked us how we were doing once. I didn't feel welcome but I'm willing to try Happy's again.

The food was good, the service excellent, the atmosphere ecclectic if not a bit noisy for being relatively quiet on a weeknight. I enjoyed my experience, but it's really a meat-and-greet kind of spot, not a typical sit-down dinner experience.

Great upscale bar snacks and top-notch bartenders. It's still a little under the radar so it's a great place to hit before/after a Sox game.
