On May 2nd my wife Carla and I arrived in Phoenix, Arizona at 10:00 AM. We went to Phoenix to celebrate her graduation on Saturday, May 4th from Grand Canyon University. She's spent the last 2+ years earning her degree in Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration.
We were there from May 2nd thru May 6th and spent a lot of time driving to various cities around Phoenix and checking out the scenery and doing a lot of shopping in Scottsdale and Flagstaff.
On Sunday May 5 (Cinco de Mayo) we headed out early, 5:00 AM to make the 4.5 hour drive to The Grand Canyon. Well it was worth the drive, this is one beautiful National Park. We drove along the South Rim (25 miles of the park) to see the famous geologic site, stopping along the way to capture the sights through our eyes and the camera lens. We left the park at 5:30 PM that day to make it back to Phoenix because we were leaving at 11:00 AM the next day to catch a flight back to Louisiana.
Here are a few pics that Carla and I took with our iPhones, I still have over 350 photos to look through that I took with my Nikon DSLR. We will return to Arizona in the future to travel to more spectacular sites and make more memories.
