I don't know anything about American Football. I don't know who Tim Tebow is. But damn, this is a great autotune!

I had to reshare this. Amazing.
There's a thread going on over at Quora about "the most epic photo ever taken." While I don't think any of these necessarily merit the crown, there's a great collection of iconic images of the 20th and 21st centuries on the thread:

But I think that we, as Plussers, can find even more awesome. I put it to you: Find a photo (or several!) which you think is, indeed, one of the most epic photos ever taken, and tag it #epicphoto.

I'll start with a moment which changed the world: this is a photo of the Trinity test, the first detonation of a nuclear bomb, 16 milliseconds after criticality: 16 July 1945, 05:29:45.016. For a sense of scale, the small black specks in the front are trees. J. R. Oppenheimer, who was technical lead of the Manhattan Project, later described it with words from the Baghavad Gita: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

What are your most epic photos?

I wonder what the cut off point is before Argentina drops its claim over the Falkland Islands. Britain has had sovereignty since around 1833. Since the Spanish took over what is now Argentina in the late 16th century, shouldn't they be handing their land back to the natives who have been there since 11,000BC and get on the boat back to Spain? Just a thought.
