Well Jennifer, I personally believe that a big part of it is that it is easier to be critical than to be believing. On a slightly less flattering note, I also believe that there are less listeners for a faithful podcast. In my experience, the type of podcasts that you are discussing (positive LDS) just don't get the amount of listeners and discussion that a critical podcast does because people tend to like "new" things, and I've found that most positive LDS podcasts don't offer "new" things, but the critical ones sure seem to. Things you haven't heard about, that seem to be crazy or that you don't have a good answer for because you didn't even know about it. This is a completely different approach than most positive LDS podcasts. However, that is something that I hope changes over the years. FairMormon has started to do some very good podcasts in the last year to two years discussing some of these topics that seem "new" to many people. There are other podcasts such as "Mormon Discussion Podcast" with Bill Reel that are gaining some good ground. He initially started doing interviews for FairMormon and now has his own podcast. The Maxwell Institute has an interesting podcast, but it is not very consistent in how often they post new ones.

I decided to put a link to all of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints new articles on often difficult topics. They have great footnotes if you are looking for more detail as well!
